I ve been using n2690 for 3 days & following are my observations:
1.Design: Looks much better physically. White & Black combination is very smart. Compact design & keypad is very handy.
2.Sound: Mp3 quality is good in headset but don’t expect it to be like n series/xpress music. Sound is clear enough bt bass is not so strong. Although loudspeaker sound is impressive & loud. Radio sound is less.
3.Internet: Opera mini is the default browser. Speed is satisfactory. Sometimes cant connect to internet.
4.Battery: Lasts 1 day with half an hour music playback, 1 hr net surfing & 1.5 hours of talktime. I expected it to be lasting at least 2 days.
5.Camera: Its VGA, so u can guess
6.Others: Speed is good. Display is bright & clear. Can play animation in desktop. I was trying to synchronize it with my n79, but it took several times to complete the operation.
In short, this is a very nice mobile surfing all my expectations except battery life.

its a great phone with excellent features.its sound is awesome.all over its an outstanding phone with a pocket friendly price.
but the only feature i dont like about it is the inbuilt opera mini browser...........

hey anybody can tell me about loudspeaker performance?
is it clear & crisp? what about loudness of songs on loudspeaker? is it comparable to Nokia 5130?
also tell me about 3GP video playback? is it smooth or lags somewhere? how much is the internal memory? battery?
please anybody tell me only if you used this 2690 handset for couple of days.

Nice phone except that it doesn't accept all types of sim cards here in the philippines. It doesn't accepts new sim card from Smart, old sim works perfectly fine. I put 4 gig and it is working. 3.5mm jack works perfectly with philips headphones.

i had purchase nokia 2690 just 2 hour ago.
i used all function in this two hours.
i give some information and reveiw of this mobile.
1) thsi is nice and cute m obile but four master key
1).call button.
2).call end button
3). select button [left top of calling button]
4). back button [right top of calling button]
is not good.
just like ki pure mobile ke button me hole karke fix kiya gaya ho. it is not fix just like 3110 [nokia].
secondly i say to you that it accesserises eg. charger and earpics is very bad. chrger is very short.
3.) when i open memory card it take 1-2n second for each folder.
same as in for back of each step.
4)camra is good but not very good.

d fon is much worthy dan its cost....sound is excellent but it has a vga camera..

This is an amazing cellphone.money ruturning.but the problem is that when camera started at night light there are some brown spots are observed but Ok
