ranga, 02 Aug 2011its bluetooth is not at all good.....worst we can saythe bluetoooth is not at all worst and if the flash is painful while using browser , you are provided to control its brightness .

Advantages of nokia 2690
1. Looks good
2. has 8gb memory capacity
3. FM is good and mp3 player also good with great sound quality
4. inbuilt memory is 25MB and phone can store more than 5000 sms messages
5. phone is best for its low price and it is from nokia.
6.Internet is good means very fast ..
7.we can store more than 2000 contact with details.
Disadvantages
1. it has VGA camera so camera quality is not good
2. Battery performance is not so bad. it gives 2 days wen completely charged
3. This phone is not good for messaging i mean for those who send lot of messages
4.we cant reduce brightness, so its harmful for eyes wen it is dark

hi, i have used nokia 2690 mobile last 8 months.but i think phone display over contrast due to my eye pain was very high while i had using browser.

i love browsing and with 2690, i am okay. But due to my attitude of browsing all the time, my eyes pains me and when i wanted to reduce the contrast, i realised it is not adjustable with 2690. Not happy about it:-)

When it was working, I found it good. But the unfortunate thing was, I had the display failure problem the very second day of purchase. It (2690-IMEI354837044782172) was bought on 13.12.2010 and it has gone to Nokia care four times. Each time the problem was the same. Every time I had to wait a month before I got the handset back. And, in a few days, it had to go back to Nokia care.
May be the problem was with this particular unit. Or, it was with the Nokia Care's service.
After four rounds, I was given a replacement set (IMEI is 354857 /04/30/5242/9) in the second week of May 2011.. It worked well for five weeks. Then when it began shutting itself down and prompted me to contact service, I went to the Nokia Care in Tambaram, Chennai. After inspecting the set (replacement) they told me it had been tampered, and its power unit seal was broken. As a result, they said that the warranty was no longer valid and I should pay Rs.1200 for service. Then only I realized that the replacement *by a recycled handset) was just a ruse to assuage my hurt feelings.
I am badly disappointed with the response of Nokia care on line, to which I sent my request for either Free service or a replacement. Without addressing my request, they keep saying 'Go to Nolia Care' again. I liked the model 2690 when it was working. I could browse, send e-mails with ease etc were the favourable points. Yet, the flat statement of 'Nokia care on line' that I should 'Go to Nokia Care' hurts me. Will they respond with a new set as replacement?
