If you can browse net on your mob. you can do it in your laptop also...use pc suite, select "one touch access" and then connect using "nokia usb modem"....if connection is not established then in "one touch access" change configuratios mannualy.....after connection is established then also you might not be able to browse....then you need to change the proxy settings of your browser.....depending on the type of anti-virus software you use, you might face diff.....its better to disable all firewalls....
i'm using 2690 modem and attaining a speed of 480 kbps....

Go to personal con. set.. Add new acces point ,go to access point set. ,go to bearer set..,give access point name ,in the last select personal con. Set. As a default setting.

i cannot save the bsnl settings in my 2690. as soon as i get receive the settings. the set displays that settings are discarded and not saved. pl.help me if anyone knows it.

the quality of keypad is not good of nokia 2690 and the video player is not worked perfect its a real experiance . i check it many times but gives same result. so becareful before you buy a nokia 2690. dont take it jokely. if you want to clarify contact me on this number 80933944003(tatadocomo-orissa)

Good phone to use. no battery backup.vga camera is quiet good...having the browser problem....still it's a good phone according to it's price.
