how come whenever i put my 2gb memory chip, it only reads 1gb, how can i fix this?

Guys im using a transcend 8GB mem0ry cArd oN my 2730,i swear n0 hangs,n0 lags,even if the cArd is alm0st full.its just like using 1GB,i cAnt believe dis f0n.s0 p0werful.3G is g0od for a s40 f0n.cAmera so nice buT n0t the vidEo.a super great and nice unit fr0m n0kia!
