Had mine for 6 weeks now and am very happy. It works well for calls and texting with good battery performance. Very easy to use with the usual excellent Nokia menus (returning to Nokia from a Motorola was a relief!). As this is a entry level phone don't expect expensive features but those included work fine for the price. One comment on signal strength, this was my first clamshell & I had to learn not to cover the hinge (where the antennae is) with my hand when using it (it's in the book) - don't know if this applies to clamshells.

hi everyone. i just bought this fone last feb 1 for my mom. i must say its simplicity makes it a good mobile phone. the basic req'ts to look for a phone is here. And besides the fact its also cheap. Pros include: bluetooth, camera (though only VGA, colored fone and good keypads makes it easier for text messaging esp here in the Philippines. Cons include: memory not expandable, though if you're not particular with this feature its ok. coz 10mb is kinda fine and it's hard to open the flip flop phone. I think that's it. I may recommend this phone. Thumbs Up!

@andrea
thanks for yr input, m8!
if you have time, could you make a small review?
I'm sure peeps here would really appreciate it (me included:)
Something short like Pros and Cons, if the call alert is strong enough to be heard in noisy environments like a busy street and if the menu, functions and text typing is fast enough (i've tried the 6230 again yesterday and that thing IS slow, lots of lag, really annoying).
Cheers! And good luck with yr phone.

OK; I think I found out the answer to my question about "the black 2760 with blue trim that appeared to have no camera":
It is NOT a 2760, but a 2660 (same stuff, only no cam).
The thing is, online shops and so are using the image of the 2660 while trying to sell a black 2760. Check pixmania.co.uk, for example.
And GsmArena did exactly the same - check 2760 pics and you'll see what I'm talking about.

OK, mates!
I've decided to (maybe) buy this phone, since my 5310 got stolen at school.
I have to decide between SE z310 and Nokia 2760 -cheap phones that will never get stolen at school.
Only a couple o'things I need to know (and it is CRUCIAL to me):
---On the outside screen, does it display the the hour ALL the time? Or does it turn itself off after secs/mins?
---Have any of you from EUROPE had the same problems with this set as the people from Asia? I mean, low volume, lost of signal...
Thankz, guys!!!

One question for the owners of this mobile:
in the black version (with blue trim), where is the camera? :)
Can't see any from the photos, not even at Nokia's site. How weird is that, uh? :)
