An entry model with very basic features, but is quite well equipped for daily use for some light internet tasks.
Pros: Really well built and good quality materials. Good microphone, speakers and overall audio quality. Bluetooth, standard USB. 3G, working good with HSPA+ (10Mbit/s dl and 6.2 Mbit/s ul), in fact - since it can work as a USB serial modem, it saved my butt several times already when landline DSL connection failed. Bright screen and high color palette. New browser (WebKit based) works way better that previous one - although it is still quite limited and to that it has a few annoying quirks. Facebook, Twitter clients and IM app out of the box. New mail application is much better that previous, although still quite buggy unfortunately.
Cons: Average battery life - gets better when you take care of battery, but still only average (~6 days standby or about 5 hours talk time on 3G with notifications disabled, doubles for GSM only). In dual-SIM model only one SIM card (internal) can use 3G. Very limited multitasking (basically only the notifications app and radio/mp3 player can run in the background). Very limited software options - this thing only runs Java apps. 64 MB RAM - don't expect any heavier websites to even try to load - in fact the default browsers (both the photo and web) won't load bigger images at all. System is buggy and has poor memory management - I had it crashing at least once a month. Volume settings - somebody decided that people are deaf and made the lowest volume for phone functions ridiculously loud - there goes discretion.

all these bad comments about this phone, it's a brilliant bit of kit for it's size and price, not to be compared with a smart phone, because it's not, but it's the best next thing but more robust and easier to carry around. another aspect that nobody seems to mention is it's music storage with 32Gb micro sd card, and the convenience of having thousands of your favourite music tracks with you to share where ever you go. got built in speaker thats not too bad, and bluetooth. cameras quite respectable for general shots. all in all an awful lot packed into a small unit that is not bulky in your pocket and don't have to worry about sitting on it. i use it as my daily work phone ans save my smart phone for when its more convenient to use. don't knock this 301 it has a very useful place in our daily lives.

I have this phone, with some problems.
1: By accepting or rejecting the incoming call results in phone restart.
2: Outgoing call also results in phone restart.
3: Opening contacts menu gives an "Operation Failed" error.
I restored my phone but still facing the same problem.
Tried to flash it with its firmware but surprisingly the Official Nokia PC Suite doesn't support this one.

I am having the same problem. As soon as I updated the phone i lost functionality of the mail icon. Looking for an answer I have read that the fix is a factory reset - but does this work or is there an alternative method of restoring functionality?

It is always restarting.the nokia x2 series was better than this phone,its asha and doesnt even shut down like normal phones it is no more good as the earlier No kia mobiles.

cena cm, 01 Nov 20141. Wheather this phone have a feature to store the Contacts... moreyes, you can read and reply on your google account, also works with twitter, ebuddy, facebook, livemail, nokia mail via yahoo account.
you need to update the phone software to version 9.04 before doing anything else. then update each apps. you may need to delete/uninstall whatsapp if you see conflict on your browser.
