A message does not exactly open in a snap, but it's not laggy either. With dozens of messages in my inbox, the speed of opening each message is acceptable to me. But I'm sure whether it will slow down as the number of messages are increasing. You'd better consult other friends here, because you know people have different criteria on the speed of a phone. What is acceptable to me is not necessarily acceptable to others. As to the music player, I can't find any equalizer in my 301.

Does it open it in a snap? And how about the music player, does it have the equalizer. I want to upgrade my old N2690 for this. .

I can't compare 301 with 210, 'cause I don't own any 210. As to the battery backup, many single-SIM version users here report a devastatingly short battery life (about only 2 to 3 days on normal use). So I wouldn't recommend the single-SIM 301. My 301 is a dual-SIM version, and my battery lasts about six days on dual-SIM standby and twelve days with only one SIM inserted. I'm satisfied with this battery performance. But there are also other friends here with a dual-SIM version who complain about short battery life. So you'd better look around and consult more information before you make your decision.

Oh, now I see your point. I'm not sure if the inbox in 301 has a limitation of a certain number of messages. For now I have only dozens of messages in my inbox and I don't know how to multiply my messages to test how many messages can be stored there. However, there is an option for me to check the memory status of my phone, and it tells me my messaging takes up 353kb. Based on this, my guess is that the number of messages that can be stored in the inbox is determined by the memory of your phone, but not limited to a specific number.

Bro Ivan, just want to ask about tha battery backup? Is 301 better that 210, coz' i read on the 210 thread that it opens msgs. slowly. Does the music player has equalizer? I don't mind if it don't have wifi. I just need a solid call&text + music phone on-the-go. . I hope you can suggest if i should get this one. :)

AnonD-149986, 30 Jul 2013I'm not sure I understand your question, but I do notice th... moreMy current Huawei dumbphone tells me to delete messages from my inbox because "it is full" and there are usually around 300 messages stored in my inbox when the message appears. When the inbox is full and people text me, I cannot receive those new texts until I delete current messages in the inbox. I assume this happens because there is very little storage on my Huawei. Does this Nokia also exhibit this behavior, where the inbox is "full" around 300 messages stored in the inbox?

If a text contains more than 300 characters, those above 300 will be automatically cut out when the text is displayed. I don't know if an SMS has the same limit, because my SMS are all very short.
