I really dont see the point in bringing out a handset like this because no one in their right mind would go for this when u can pick up a 6300 for the same price and that has a 2 megapixel camera and is nicer looking than this one. there is no point in a non camera phone

First i wana inform every one that Nokia 3109 classic is now available and i got one,one thing which dissapoint me that nokia did,nt put a headset for music or just for talk inside in box,its very bad that this phone cost more then 150 euros but nokia sales this without headset,usb cable or memory card.so every one think very well before buy this handset bcos i dont see anything special in this handset.best of luck bye

look i feel it is better than 3110 because it deosnot have a camera that is mean it will be verey cheep here in egypt the price of 3110 from 1 week ago 1150 l.e that is mean the price with $ is 209$ and after this week will be 955 that is mean 173$ so i think the price of 3109 will be 600 l.e tnat is mean 109$ . that is good phone and economical too and i dont like cam thanks

Hi, It is what! my waiting is the end now for a long time after Nokia 6021. I don't prefer camera only short fall of Stereo FM Radio. Hope the price will be not more than usd125.00

The only thing that is weird is you Tinku, do you even read other comments before posting your confused thoughts? The 3109 ISN'T suppose to have a camera, that's the whole idea of this model!! If you want camera, then buy the 3110 Classic, the 3109 is for those of us who does'nt want a camera in our phones but all the other advanced functions, and there are quite many of us, but not that many phones to choose from, so the 3109 and 2660 are very welcome models.

Such a smart outlook phone which has every desired features except camera option.Its really wierd.

Nokia batery life isn't much to be proud of, but not everyone needs more than 4 hours calls/day right ? Besides, if you get tired of charging your phone everyday, go for a Philips Xenium series.

Ye just a brief look on the Nokia 3109
Dimensions: Acceptable
Weight: Very light indeed
Display: Nice colours but alas, low res.:(
Phonebook: 2000 entries? Nice... 8)
Card-slot: Yes!
EDGE, BT, IR and USB connectivity: Yes!
Camera: Get real people it's not supposed to
have one!
Media player that can actually play music files?: Yes!
Organiser, Calender, Handsfree etc.: Yes!
Standby time: Great
Talk time : Right.....Um.....Aah (sigh).
There are many post stating...........
"Oh for goodness sake if you had only put in a camera for the sake of it, it would have been a success" and since it hasn't "It's going to fail BIG time.
Well.., not really coz simply put the only problem that is present here is the battery life.
For Heaven's sake SE W850i with a 950mAh battery manages 350h standby and 7h talktime.

I agree with Tommy. The place I work also does not allow cameras inside, so this is a God-send. I can finally listen to music at work. The lack of FM radio is a bit of a let down, and the somewhat dull look of the phone as well, but since this phone's main selling point is it's simplicity, I still like it. For real, Nokia, well done.

PLEASE NOKIA! Come out with more of phones WITHOUT camera and memory card slot like this one. I'm sick of having to live with a basic phone with 2mb memory. Becos the place I work does not allow cameras. I don't think I'm alone. There should be a pretty good market out there. If I want to take photos, I have my DSLR with me. Stop integrating phones with useless cameras. If not maybe soon I can make phone call using my DSLR.

Speaking as a salesman, one of the biggest sellers and most reliable models we ever stocked was the 6021. I for one am personally delighted that nokia have finally come out with a followup, given the large number of cameraphobic phone users that need bluetooth. Here's hoping it's as reliable...

Great phone !! For me, beside sms and call, mp3 player is most likely to be the only usable extra feature. Camera ? If you have a digital camera, you will think twice on using a phone cam.
i have SE K800 which they called the best phone camera ever, and i almost never used it.
