Very simple and reliable. I 've been using it for 3 years. Charge time: 40 mins. And batt. lasted for a day and a half. Who cares if it was fully charged in 40 mins.
One thing is very strange to me: No phone after this one (so far as I know) didn't have so good solution for delivery reports: It was shown on screen for couple of seconds. And had a different signal than message. If you wanted to see delivery report later, it was in folder "delivery reports", which was erased automaticaly if you check it in that folder once, or after 24hrs. Great!

It was my second phone after Nokia 1611. Back in the days it felt very modern and light.

It was my first 2nd hand cell phone I bought in 1998.
It's pity that Nokia launched the further 3000 Serials recently. (e.g. The name '3110 Classic' is in my eyes absolute confusing)
So there's often a misunderstanding when I look for spare parts like batteries, etc.
It seems a lot of dealer don't know the difference between the old an the new ones.

Very tough phone. I dropped it once in the engine bay of our van. I thought I lost it until a few days later when I opened the engine bay again. I was surprised that it was there. Best of all, it still worked. Wow! Unbelievable. Working and all, even after being exposed to engine heat and vibration for a couple of days.

I still have this phone. And I still use it. When I got it in early '98 I was using Singtel but nowadays I use Starhub. I still have the sticker!!! I switched to Prepaid-My postpaid contract was unreliable. This phone has accompanied me for almost half of my life(I'm 23 now). LONG LIVE THE 3110!
and did I say that it survived a 2 storey fall? It dropped on my Nissan two years ago and there's been a dent on the hood since!!
