i've had this phone for bout a year now. honestly i was disappointed at the camera. it sucks. really sucks. my little bro's VGA quality phone cud take better pictures than this phone.. well that was the 1st complaint. secondly i bought a 1Gb memory for this & stored about 800mb of data+music files in to it. the music player will have a problem on updating music files when the memory reaches more than 750mb. it will fail to "read" new music files that i transfered from my computer. in the end i had to delete files from the phone memory & some from the memory card. overview, i have to say its a good phone when u value it from its relatively cheap price. but if ur looking for quality music & camera, i dont recomend this phone. buy something else like an SE phone. nokia is only good with their UI.

nilesh, 13 Sep 2008should i buy 3110classic or 3500?difference between 3110 classic and 3500 is very small. 3110 has a better battery, whereas the 3500 has a slightly better (2mp vs. 1.3) camera.
which do you take? on the long run a better battery will serve you far better than 2mpixel camera i think. needless to say these cameras are mostly toys, image quality they produce is not very good.

I think a lot of users are complaining about this particular phone and specific malfunctions about it. I would really like NOKIA to do something about it. I bought this phone because i thought it had style and class until anytime i loaded songs and wanted to update the library the thing just kept restarting itself till i had to remove the MMC (256Mb). I thought it was just that one till i bought another MMC (1Gb) and the same thing still happened. Unfortunately i stopped using the MMCs and was using my phone. I downloaded settings for the Celtel GPRS and when i wanted to browse it went off. I was shocked!!!
Now the problem is i tried the reset using the phone's own manual security settings and the code *#7780# but it work. How in Heaven's name am i gonna format this phone becuz i do like it and i need an MMC too?

its good only when u dnt use micro sd card. its the restarting problem i'm annoyed of. i use 1 gb micro sd but it gets restart again n again to infinity unless i dnt get the memory card out of the set. songs are not loud as it used to be. im disappointed with nokia

I have been using this phone for almost a year. I am deeply satisfied about its features ,the performance and the PRICE.
However, few things makes me annoying is the Display size and the camera, which could have been better[I accept, it's part of the design].If it had, then obviously a best phone that one can hold.

Ok, i've been using this phone for two months with software version 6.02 and a 1gb microSD. It was working very well until yesterday, while i loaded some 64kbps m4a songs in it. I could play those songs well, but when i updated the music library, It started restarting without stop. After restarting 34times, it became stable and i deleted those songs. But, its software got corrupted, and all the phone memory became empty. I brought it to nokia care and, they just re flashed the software with 6.60. It's ok again now. But i'm never gonna load m4a songs in it again.

rupesh, 06 Sep 2008so for 1gb memory card what we do ? what is the new s/f to... moreu can get the updated version of 3110 classic software at authorised nokia service centre FREE OF COST. i advice all those who face restart problm to update their software at the earliest......it gets done in hardly 3-4 hours....

My wife and I have this phone. My wife has had hers for over a year with no problems and I just got mine yesterday for a birthday gift. Compared to my previous Nokia, its a major step up.
The camera takes decent pics in my opinion but nowhere near as good quality as a low-end digi-cam even. Great for what it is though :).
The speaker works great and it was very clear when calling my wife and even my parents overseas in the U.S.
I've been using a two gig sd card with it with no problems. Version 5.5 firmware came pre-installed though. My wife has been using a 1 gig the entire time with hers with no problems.
We've had no problems with the mp3 player on her's and the radio function has been nice as well.
I've tried a crapload of games for it and they seem to have worked fine when installed with the Nokia software suite thing for the phone. Be careful with some of the crap you find for free on the net though as it is crap.
One thing about installing that, make sure your phone is NOT connected with a USB cable while installing the software or you will have problems. On one pc (laptop) it would not work this way so we didn't try chancing it when we used it on our desktop pc.
To update the firmware visit http://europe.nokia.com/A4579163 for details. I don't trust the firmware update at the U.S. site as the U.S. phones work differently. I wouldn't recommend using the U.S. site unless you bought your phone for use there.
The number for checking the phone type under the battery was a bit hard to find as it is very small and right below that printed block they probably use with some sort of scanner.
Anyways, hope this helps some.

i bgt this phone 1 week back,loud speaker was not working,then repaired,when i brouht back again alarm tone not working,this phone has very low ringtones,now i want to change this one to samsung e250 or samsung m620 or samsung j700,this 3110c has problems

flint28, 04 Sep 2008the restart problem comes with the phone and theres nothing... moreyour phone gets restarts every time .this is because your cell has been affected by virus go to nokia gallery .they will change your software and then ur phone will not restart.
do not use 2gb card.instead use a 1gb card.if ur phone is in warrenty period ur phone will be repaired for free otherwise they will ask u to pay.

Do not buy this phone, i have one, restarting problem is annoying, screen resolution and picture quality bad. I am going to sell it.
