As Rightly said by RBA,
We have to be little careful in transferring the files, it will help avoid restarting problem. suppose if you try to transfer a file from system to nokia 3110 classic, you check twice in the system, this you can do by connecting with data cable, you can easily recognise the junk file(corrupted file) and avoid transferring the MMC.
Steps to resolve restarting problem
===================================
Try to connect the mobile into the system
through the datacable
normally during restarting situation(3 time restart and then off) the system wont read the removable disk. in this case during restarting condition, try to switch off and on many times so that @ 1 point of time you can succeed , in making the mobile on.
at that time system will be reading the removable disk, otherwise try through card reader, now carefully reaarange th files, like mp3 iles, theme files, image files(jp,gif), video files. try to delete the junk file by seeing the system, if the junk file is not deleting carefully take the backup of all the files, and try to format the memory card through phone only and then recopy all the backup files excluding the junk file into mobile memory card. this way you can succeed over restarting problems.

hi,i am using this mobile since 3 months......i have no problem and no restart problem even my software version is 05.50,i only restarts only 1 time..because i have uploaded 400 songs...the best way is to use nokia pc suit to add songs...after adding songs maximum 50..than u update library than againg add more.....its lovely phone......only fault is its display is small...its sound is excellent...its case is also good......

Do this and the restart problem willnever occuur.
Of course min did not since the day that i bought it.

some people in this forum says that the radio reception of this phone is poor, is it true? or they don't get satisfied coz they compare it to other very costly phones? it'll be ok for me if it's like nokia 6300 or motorola c168 (a very cheap phone). and, can i listen radio well if i use my pc's headphone with it by a 2.5mm adapter?

Because my phone's restart sessions happened something like 20 times(this is the number of times that I turned on the phone myself after the 3 consecutive auto on and off session) and lasted for a whooping 45 minutes. At that time, I hated the phone. But gladly, it was already a far history of the past and the restart problem already stopped haunting me because I haven't experienced a restart(in fact, not even a single auto restart) up to this day and it is 6 months already!

Actually, I personally think that the brand of the memory card haven't got anything to do with the restarting problem. It is likely the files that you transfer to your phone that causes the restarts and not the memory card. As for my case, my phone only restarted when I transferred a corrupted mp3 file and applied a theme with an incompatible resolution. Since then, I had been very careful of the songs that I transfer to my phone.
To ALL of the people in here that experience the restarting problem:
The secret right there is, once you transfer a new song to your phone, I recommend you not to update the music library right away. I suggest you that you try playing the newly added tracks from the gallery inside the memory card and play "EVERY MUSIC FILE" that you have just newly transferred. It will be a good test since you will see whether the newly added track is corrupted or not as the phone displays "FILE CORRUPTED" whenever you play the corrupted music file. By the time that you see it, then delete that specific song right away and don't take risks. Only update the music library once you are already finished playing every new song. Try it. It's actually the thing that I am doing everytime I transfer a new song to my phone.

one thing i didn't tried is to put original nokia microSd in the phone. Doed anybody know if that works? Does the restarting problem dissapear when you are using original nokia microSd? I'm using apacer 1gb micro Sd, and phone crashed at 20 mb capacity. I also tried to use transflash 512mb card, but this time i couldn't even turn it on. *
Can any of you users that don't have the restarting problem on nokia 3110c tell me what kind of MicroSd card are you using?

Some mp3's have some digital producing/processing problem so sometimes we can download some tracks (e.g. from Limewire or Bearshare) that have some digital production bug. So just try downloading another..
I too have experienced it and downloaded the same song from a different source..
And also, if it didn't occur at first and just occured later on, then it might be a result of severe forwarding and rewinding and that is, if you do it abusively. But I'm not really sure with this one. :)
But I'm not saying that you should not use the forward/rewind of the music player either!. :)
As for my experience, it happened to a specific track where I abusively use the forward/rewind function. It skips like a damaged cd.
As for the internet browser, well just download the high performance Opera Mini 4.1. It is a very fast and stable mobile browser when compared to the slow default WAP browser of the phone. And I can say that the performance of the Opera Mini is a light year away from the default browser. Take care of your phone.

hey my nokia 3110 classic has a firmware 6.02 and my micro sd card is about 2GB. so far i dont experience scratch mp3 on my 3110 classic. . . . Update first the firmware to 6.01 or much better 6.02
