I took a nokia 3110 Classic. But I am suffering. Maximum time when I open wap browser, then it restarts automatically after few minutes. And continue restarting 3/4 times. Then it shut down. Even when I connect memory card (1GB, it starts restarting. I talked most of the known person to me who are using same hand set. All of them are facing same problem. The memeory card has to formate after every 2/3 days even if we dont use the wap browser.
Please help me, what I have to do to solve the problem?

The Nokia Malaysia and Singapore websites rate the 3110c's BL-5C battery capacity at 970mAh whereas the Nokia European website as well as this website rate it at 1,020mAh. Which is correct? Or are they built at different capacities depending on the market?

ermm... i'm not buying it yet.. but for all i've read from u all, i can conclude that the major problem for this fon is it's suddenly restart when we're doing something..
is it true?? but i've read that someone says
his not face 2 any of the prob.. i am confused.. i've compared this fon with nokia 3500.. can you please kindly give a suggestion which fon is better

Thanks for the tip, but I'm aware of the numerous posts and suggested solutions for the restart problem. It's just that Andrew's seemingly unique solution rouses my curiosity to post my enquiry.
By the way, my problematic 3110 also comes installed with firmware V 5.50.

Yes bro. Samsung mobile phones missed the option to set the memory card as the primary storage of images and videos.. Yes, the E250's camera is inferior when compared to the 3110c's camera. E250 only wins when the photos are viewed through its screen but when you print out the pics taken from that phone, there is the reality. Blurry and greenish aura appears..

Hi.. I am enjoying 246 songs in my music player right now and i'm not experiencing any problems whatsoever and the hang problem that you mean. With my almost three months of usage of this 3110c, i had never experienced hang and freeze problem.. And also, even if others are saying that when you create folders on the memory card by yourself, it would give you strange problems but my phone never gave me a problem no matter i create a folder on the memory card or not.. Maybe there's a problem with yours.

Hi Andrew,
You mentioned in your post that "you have to keep on on and off the phone until it is ok.." When the problem occurs with my phone, it restarts almost immediately after displaying the wallpaper everytime, for 3 times in a row and then off itself, regardless of my key presses.
How did you solve your problem? Do you mean I need to switch the phone off when the phone starts restarting, and repeat the process? Has the problem recurred with your phone?

when i put the memory card (1 GB) , my phone also like that , but later i know to solve it ... you have to keep on on and off the phone until it is ok . and the mp3 player , u cannot put more than 208 songs , if not , it will keep on hanging ...

Another disgruntled 3110c user.. Bought my phone on 22 Jan 2008 and a Sandisk 512MB memory card. Initially, the phone operates smoothly. Restart problem only arises on 13 Feb.
I tried many times with and without the memory card inserted and found restart problem only occurs with memory card inserted. I subsequently tried a 128MB card, problem persists...

Its treu that you cant put it that the pictures get saved on the memory card, that sth that really is bad.

This one is better, 1.3 against VGA.
And that youve heard that Samsung VGA is very good is not true. Its just a VGA camera like all others, nothing special bout it.

Bro, 3110c's camera quality is just average. Not so good and not so bad. I think this phone is just too humble. Lol.. When you look at the photos taken from the camera of this phone through the 3110c's screen itself, it would disappoint you a bit but try transferring the pics to the PC and there you have it.. My classmate discriminated my phone for the camera quality but when he saw it through PC, he ate his own words. Can't ever believe that the photos are that good. He kept on saying that i editted the pics to make it look better but i'm proud enough to say that there wasn't any modifications done.. Ofcourse, this is better than E250.. P.S. All Samsung phones i think(i'm not sure) has a very annoying disability. You can't set the memory card as primary storage for images and videos and thus, video clip length is dependent on the internal memory and practically can never be infinite depending on available memory of the memory card.

Which bettar, N3110c or Samsung E250? I hear that this 3110c hav disap0intng cam. And i also hear that Samsungs hav great cams even only VGA. Please answers..

i bought this fone in june and now whenever i insert the i gb microSD card it hangs. what's the prob. i haven't updated the firmware yet. will it help if i do so?

Hi to everyone. Well actually i have already mentioned that i will be posting again on March because of the approaching exams. But since the schedule for my exams was postponed to the 3rd week of February, then i'm posting back here.

With the firmware v.5.50, the phone should not restart anymore with other reasons like playing games. Only with incompatible media files, incompatible themes and corrupted music files. These were the only factors that made my phone restart. What firmware version are you using? Kindly check it.. And btw, it's strange to hear that your phone restarts when listening fm radio..
