hey
new firmware v5.50 is available thru nokia software updater
i guess it has all fixes for restart problem
i too experienced a bit fast interface after installing the new firmware
its of 23mb size

hey guys it doesn't make any difference wheather it is made by nokia or made in china.
wat reallly matters is how u use the phone.
make sure u dont use 100% of ur mem card.
do leave some space for it to operate smoothly.

also additional information, in viewing pictures into your camera screen, it seems a little "pixelized", this is due to nokia 3110c screen resolution is only at 128 x 160. upon transfer to pc you can see the difference in picture quality.

you can get the free dictionary via web at getjar.com or via wap directly to your phone wap.getjar.com. you can find a lot of dictionaries. some for free and others with fee.
as for almost all camera phones, quality level is still not at par as a digital camera. for me picture quality is subjective. from an amateur or hobbyist point of view the camera is average as for a professional or enthusiast, picture quality is poor. as for the physical / technical characteristics of the phone, you can see that it has no flash (even with xenon flash bulbs camera phones cant give enough flash at a certain distance), no autofocus, no shutter speed setting, etc. but overall in comparison in camera phones level, it is at par to nokia nseries or even se cybershot series (in 1.3 mp mode). after all, this is the feature at its price range, for those who wanted to have better pictures get a nokia n95 or se k850 you can see the picture quality and also for the price difference.
over-all nokia 3110c is of average quality for its price. just turn on night mode for better pictures. however, at low light picture is poor because of lack of flash.

Latest firmware is v5.50 but for that you will have to visit Nokia Care and surrender your handset for more than a week which I would say is impossible to do ATM.

i bought it last 2 month..really agree that the camera is soooo bad...the infrared port dooesn't function well...design, nice...sound good...nice interframe....

hey im also using n3110c "made by nokia". i dont experience any problem with this unit, nothing of the hanging issues. i use kingston 2g mem card. however i downloaded some themes, and i think i got one of the corrup ones, it started turning on and off till it wont work anymore. figured if i deleted that specific theme - animated fireworks- problem would be solved. indeed it was. i removed card, set up another theme, and when unit turned on, deleted corrupt file, and all went well. camera is not that good though once transferred to pc its ok. music is ok, not what youd get from an SE but its enough for me.

I don't think that this phone sucks because I don't have any problems with it. My phone does not restart when I insert the memory card (the memory card capacity is 1 GB). Although some pictures may look bad in the phone, they will look much better when they are transfered into the pc. Overall, the nokia 3110 classic is the most perfect phone for me.

buying this fone was biggest mistake of my life . when i inserted memory card of 512mb it began 2 restart again n again. my friends also have same problem. pls its my request dont buy this fone .its camera sucks. sound quality is not good

hi fireball,can u tell the exact web site download free dictionary(java).and if it supports 3110classic then it should also help in 2610.what u say about this.and some people are of the view that 3110classic has a poor resulted camera, what is the price in pakistan these days.thanx

hi, you can check my posts here. i've been posting here for a month since i bought my phone nokia 3110c last month.
i had my own mini review and also answered some questions and troubles of other users of this phone.
as of the phone, generally, 3110c and 3500 are just the same phone just like other nokia phones with just very little difference.
they are just almost exactly the same, only minor difference in features aside from external features (the looks which is also a little different). this is will trim down to two questions for you to decide:
1. how much money can you spare ( i think 3500 will cost a little more)?
2. which is more eye-appealing to you?

from facts and figures am able to comprehend that the batter life is very less compared to 3110 cl....
wat do u feel ?
is t worth spending that little extra for this phone ? or shall i settle with the good old 3110classic ?

hi... this phone is a very good to listen the music and gives bettter battery backup when compare to sony ericson phone. but two major problems are there in this set.one is it hangs when we put the memey of more than 512mb.The second one is this phone asks some softaware to download.other than this everything is fine..

I've a little solution which works when Nokia 3110 restarts. Pliz replace all of ur .jar applications from memory card to phone memory and always try to ensure atleast 25% free memory in ur memory card.

Pl help....i dont get to see the call duration during a call. wat i get is summary after call is ended. its not in the log setting not in the fon settings nd not in call settings.its really required to plan my calls as per my balance.. pl help if u got some software or something else

1. check if your memory card is properly inserted. there is a proper way of inserting the memory card that can be found in the manual.
2. check if the memory card is detected by the phone.
3. reformat the memory card on your phone
fyi, latest firmware version is 5.01
