Yes it does support silent option. I just bought the cell yesterday and its 1 amazing piece for Rs5,600.

XUH@IB the phone is for 10400 in pak, but i think you can have it cheaper if you go to a wholesale retailer.

Yes it supports Video Recording and also you can zoom when you record :) this is so nice. But still i don't like because there are only 5 lvl of ringing volume and at 4 there is to low and at 5 the volume is at maximum :| ( to loud).
