fLo :-), 15 Nov 2008hi, i've got this unit since august '08 as a special presen... moremake sure if people you want to video call have this option as well. If they phones don't have video call (camera in the front) you won't be able to call them that way:(

Ok, whenever the camera is on go to OPTIONS-BRIGHTNESS and change it by using navigation keys (the up/down arrow, silver square keys). To switch off the camera sound go to OPTIONS-SETTINGS-CAMERA SOUNDS-OFF

Anonymous, 18 Nov 2008how to open the 3g in the cellphone? answer pleaseIt should be the same as with most of NOKIAs: go to SETTINGS-PHONE-NETWORK MODE-DUAL MODE/3G, but switch it off (change to GSM mode) whenever you stop using it, its eating up the battery!:)

This phone reminds me my old buddy 6100. I like this phone because of its sleek. Very identicle to old 6100, do you agree?

i want to know if u guys can increse/decrease brightness of pics..in camera mode, select brightness in options.. try changing it...i cant, my up/down indicator doesnt work there..

hi, i've got this unit since august '08 as a special present for my self for passing the NLE!!! and it's great but i haven't continually used it's video calling yet... i have already downloaded the configuration but i have just experienced a successful video call once.. i'm a smart subscriber,, anyone pls help me....i need a guide.. thank you.... can't wait to video call my relatives and friends..

Go Menu >Settings >Display >ScreenSaver then select ANY of the following 3:
1. Analogue Clock
2. Digital Clock
3. Select "Image", select "Graphics", select "Screen Savers", select "Clock.swf"
BTW, u can find nth files (theme files) which have swf clocks for the standby screen. They will show a bigger clock in the standby screen & they will show u the EXACT time ur phone has set to.
For those files, visit www.zedge.no and create an account & search the themes for Nokia 5300. I have seen A LOT of themes which contains the swf clock on the standby in the net.

I tried to update it but nokia software updater fails after downloading 2 MB. I cant understand the reason.

I'll be getting a line from Globe Tele... moreDear, u can use the 8GB card WITHOUT any problem of hanging or slowing down UNLESS u fill it up with lots of files (music etc). it is definitely gonna slow down a bit when u use up all ur memory (even all the high end sets & even ur PC is fonna slow down when u fill up the space). So u can use it, but my suggestion is NOT to fill it up more than 6GB. Take care.
