Thanks for the nice review my dear friend.
No doubt this handset is robust. In December during my Winter Holidays Trip to Mussourie and Rhishikesh, my handset fell into the holy GANGES two times. And my handsets KEY PAD stopped working. Also no sound from speakers was there.
Luckily my resort was just in front of the shore. I immediately ran to my room, took the BATTERY out, took out the Sim and also detached the KEYPAD. Immediately I blown the warm air at the WET surfaces of the handset through the Heat Convector available in the room.
After 15-20 minutes my handset is again into working condition. Till date no problem with this handset.

Using this phone for over 15 months now, here are a few key points:
[-]
1.Phone is flimsy, not rugged. I managed to drop it once, and it got cracks in the body. Nokia Care says you can't change it for this handset.The front panel, although looks plastic but will hold.
2.Back panel is fragile and is prone to wear & tear, makes squeaking sounds while messaging now.
3.Camera is strictly average, it is just there to complete the specs sheet, high level of compression is used, but I think all Nokia cameras are like this. I found that SE phones have better cameras for same price range.Video recording is nice.Browser (& the phone) hangs sometimes while browsing internet, despite the 3G data connection.Software crashed once, but I got the software update for free. :)

4.3G data, video calling,reception, call quality and sound is all good. Phone suite is also good.Battery drains quickly on 3G usage, but it is expected, otherwise battery holds good for one and half days on moderate to heavy usage of basic phone functions.Data connection is consistent.If you are facing call drops and closed/lost connections please switch your carrier.
5.Screen is good although in the sun it becomes little difficult to read.The only better thing can be a oled display.I can watch a full length movie on this decent but small display while commuting. :)
6.Phone is reasonably fast, although it takes like 2 seconds to open my 8GB card, but apart from that menu response is good.
7.Music playback is decent.Not great but for the price its ok, lack of 3.5 mm jack is like a crime.
8.Browser is srictly below par, these days you get better in the same price.Good rendering algorithm it has, but it takes ages to load even a basic html page.Email is funtional but the wow factor is missing, it will just get the job done.
[software tips]
9.Now a *TIP* for all those who want to read e-books on this phone.
There are ofcourse third party apps available, but none is good enough, and you can't get a PDF reader for this phone.
But if you want to read text only stuff like novels and other small e-books, you need:
-a pdf to text converter.
-a software called "read maniac" (Google it)
What you have to do is to generate your own jar files containing the text and install it on the phone and you are ready to go (use the builder wizard of the software). It supports graphics also, with a little tweaking you'll be all good.
10.Here is another Ebook work-around for those having Ebooks in chm Format:
Google for a chm decompiler. Microsoft has a free one [ after all it is their file format :-) ]
Decompile the chapters in a folder and move that folder to the the memory card, now you can view the books in the phone's default browser.just browse and open the files. [ the browser is slow, I know :-( ]

[ I was going to dump this phone today ad buy a new nokia 5233 touchscreen, but now i am not too sure after writing this review =)) after all it has all that I want except adobe reader LE and quick office.This was my first nokia, and I am already a fan.My last phone was Motorola motorazer. ]

dont ask me about that.. you should know how to use it... whats the use of the User's guide, the book thingy, if u will not read it.. read it yourself so that you will know how to use the secondary camera.. and for your info., different fones has a different security code.. thank you!

Well this phone's good, ive been using this on 7 months, i got applications operamini multime,mobile facebook,class editor,blue FTP,paintcad,exheditor,explorer,mini commander,etc. Good internet browsing especially in 3G connection.

Dear Friend, you and me has purchased this handset... moreKamal, No I have not found a PDF reader other than the one that can only read text. It does not support graphics. Quite sad ... I suppose a Non-Symbian phone ... Java phone is capable of only so much... we should not expect too much.
I am using many apps desined for this or similar phones ... Opera mini, Bolt & Firefox browsers ... Gmail, Ovi mail, Ovi store, hot mail, Facebook, twitter etc and many other apps.
Now our network has started 3G services and I have to go and subscribe.

Dear Friend, you and me has purchased this handset at the same time (thats one year ago approx.). Earlier I had given you the link for PDF reader for this handset. Which you told doesn't support Images and can only read text. Did you found any new PDF Reader for this handset by now ?
Also please tell what other APPLICATIONS you are using on this handset.
I'm using the below mentioned Applications on this handset :

OPERA MINI
MUNDU SMS
ORKUT
What about you all other Nokia 3120 Classic users ? What applications you all are using on this handset ?
