even if you could [(I'm sure it is possible ... just never felt the need to)] ... even if you could, I'm sure it would be a nuisance if you have to quickly access anything from the mem card and you have to input the password each and everytime.

When I go to gallery in memory card there is an option of putting a password to it. But when I set a password, although it accepts it but still my memory card opens without any password.
I want to set a password specifically for my memory card. How to do the same?

Yes I think you should immediately upgrade the firmware... that should solve most of the problems. But cant be 100% sure. However, upgrading is a great idea. I wonder if your phone memory is almost full or something. If so free up most of your phone memory. Store most of the stuff in the memory card. And do you put music in MP3 format?... You could try changing them to M4A format using Nokia Music Manager.

Ashman, 28 Aug 2009Lots... don't exactly know how many... I already have about... morethank you, ashman ! yes, 400 messages is a pretty good figure. now i only have to find out how i can tranfer the messages to another nokia, in the future. :D
and by the way, if this phone reacts in the same way as nokia 6300 concerning sms storage, it will start to freeze when accesing the inbox after you save about 2000 messages(more or less).

Ashman, 28 Aug 2009Try to format the memory card on a computer first then refo... moreI don't think my old/new memory card which cause this problem. My computer and my friend's mobilephone read it well. No problem found. I also ever try to format it. But no effect at all.
I think the problem is in my Nokia3120c. Now,even withOUT any memorycards inserted, it will crash. It turn on succesfully ONLY if i insert my old memorycards.
Did you ever have this problems. It's really frustating. What should I do?
Do you think updating firmware will solve this problem? I'm using V 06.20 29/02/08 RM-364 software now.

I think my 3120c which cause this problem. Now, even withOUT any memory card inserted, the phone crash... The phone turn on ONLY if my old memory card inserted. Is this ever happened to you?

I inserted 1GB MicroSD card to this phone.
After some times, when I restart the phone without this memory card or with another memory card, the phone crash. It shows blinking white screen for seconds, and then turn off.
But,if i insert the memory card,the turn on sucessfully.
What should I do? I want to use my new 2GB memory card... But,it always crash...
I also already tried 'reset to factory default'. It solved the problem at that time. But in next 2 or 3 weeks, this problem reocured. Any solutions, Help me please....

Hey this is Lloyd Maxwell N,the phone is great but why not sell it wit the 8gb memory card?man this issue of buying these small gadgets is hell of a thin.can upgrade the system

I am an interior designer and kinda knew the reason why nokia chose this kinda usb port for this phone. I'd suggest if its hard to get a cable just buy a blue tooth device. It'll go for about $6 to $10. Try it its great

Now i connect the phone to the pc via bluetooth and its just great even as a modem. Plus the bluetooth device works with many other devices

I think Nokia is good for its phones only.
I say so because I bought this phone by spending Rs.7200/-. And in the box except basic material there was not even a single accessory provided except a "Complimentry 1GB Memory Card and Nokia Stereo Headset" as return on the box. And it is very unfotunate to say that those "Complimentary Stereo Headset" are nothing but regular headset, which you get with a Nokia black and white handset also.
If you are spending so much on a phone it is expected from the company to provide basic accessories like Data Cable, Mobile Cover and a Screen Guard.
It is also dissapoiniting to note that the User Guide or the manual shows the step of using various applications and has given no introduction about those applications. How will a person buying the phone for first time know what is blue coloured tooth all about?
So I request the readers to protest against Nokia to provide something more than just the phones.

Just go to "Settings" .... "Phone" .... "Language settings" .... "Phone Language" then change to English or "Recognition Language" change to English.
