I have been using this phone for a year now, it works quite ok, but after I got the software updated. only drag is its mono music player, also the camera generates unnacessarily huge sized pictures.
overall i am satisfied with this phone.
Can anyone tell me how to retrieve lost memory card password from the phone.???

Nokia 3230 will use phone memory by default to receive files via bluetooth. It doesn't matter how much memory u have in the memory card. Which means u will only have the most about 3.5Mb to 5Mb file size limitation in general. The solution to this is to install the program thinkmms mentioned, which is MSDriveE.sis. It has been discussed many many times. Do a search here or online and I think u can easily find the file. Again, be warned though that it is a bit complicated if u wish to retain ur old SMS/MMS.

Get the program called Power Dictaphone by Symbianware. It can record hours of voice...depending on ur free memory I think. Once I tried about 40+mins before. U can even assign a hot ket and start/stop recording at a press of few button.

So far I think max. is 1Gb RS-MMC or 1Gb RS-DV-MMC (MMCmobile).

Anyone tried the route software on this device? Obviously it doesn't use GPS, but what's it like to use regardless?

If you wanna buy a nokia 3230...i think you better compare it with Nokia 6670...cause last time when i wanan buy Nokia 3230 from shop...it suggest me to get Nokia 6670...maybe you should try to compare it....

Hey,
Guys . I know quite a lot of people who bought this rather "nice bad " phone are worrying how to upload larger files to 3230 without getting the stupid FULL MEMORY error. Simple there is a patch for this. It does one simple thing. What ever you send via BT or IR , it goes straight to your MMC card folder (e:/system/mail) and voilaaa. unlimited uploads from ur pc to n3230... enjoy. contact me for that patch.

“Use of MMC card of a standard size not possible”
-->means Standard Sized MMC card not usable.Can only use Reduced Sized MMC (RS-MMC)

To Karim, about the MMC thing, it just means that it has to use RS-MMC (reduced size MMC).

i am using this 3230 for last 8 months but i m not happy with the phone bcoz its hangs and even i have 16mb memory left in the card then also when i download something from bluetooth its shows memory full delete sum memory when i delete the memory then also it says memory full can any one help me with solution plz thankz mail it on my emai add

Karim:
It means the normal size MMC can not be used in 3230. It's not a big deal. Basically 3230 can only use Reduced Size MMC (RS-MMC).
But I think by now most shop selling RS-MMC anyway. Coz normally an adaptor is provided for to convert RS-MMC to a full size MMC and hence it can be used in phone supporting full size MMC only.

I was just read the main drawbacks which says that “Use of MMC card of a standard size not possible” so someone please exobrate wht does its mean??? Either there is no option to enhance the memory or its require any specific kind of memory card. Look forward to hear soon

Not a good Phone at all... Poor sound quality....Take years to start...Very very slow....Hangs everytime.... text messaging takes years to be sent and most of the times wants u to resend it over and over again....very low internal memory....poor design.......a dirt magnet...and always restarts........
