I just want to know how to check the battery in my nokia 3230 mobile. i feel the mobile charge id going down very fast . let me know how can i measure my battery talk time.

hi to those in singapore. how do you tell them that you want to upgrade the N3230 to V4.0526.2ch. and do any of you know how to convert wmp file to mp3 format. is the upgrading free.

Well I just bought this phone day before yesterday...great phone I must say packed with so many features...like BLUE TOOTH, FM RADIO(Visual and Normal) both..EXCELLENT CRISP GRAPHICS..
Those who are looking for stero mp3 thingy dont go for this phone as its not a mp3 player..come on be sensible..the rest of features are awesome..some problems like restarting OS and on silent mode no vibra on SMS...can be fixed by upgrading the firmware V 4.0526.2 from the service center for free..

hi all,
i recently bought this phone and i am very upset with thw voice quality.there is no bass or treble. ihave even down loade ultra mp3 but failed to create any good effect.moreover the phone restart itself many times byitself. this is horriblephone i have ever seen and believe i have done a blunder.
but i have heard that we can upgarde the phone and after that few problem are lost to some extent.
ppppppppplllllllllllllllleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz if any one can tell me what do v mean by upgrading and how is it done .

its been 2 months i purchased n3230 and iam facing the hanging problem.the nokia care have reinstalled the softwarend tge phone is right now.

About two weeks ago, I was in the market for a new mobile phone. The choice was between the Samsung D500 which appealed aesthetically and a Nokia smart phone based on the Symbian operating system, which boasted expandability. I was pulled towards the Nokia and the symbian platform because I wanted the expandability and to the 3230 in particular due to the relatively low price. Of course, I also loved the form factor. Having no clue whatsoever which to buy, I turned to the Internet for reviews and was stunned by the negative reviews for the 3230 on most sites. The complaints seemed to center around the keypad scrunched into the bottom third of the phone, and stability issues with the software. Despite this, I decided to go for the 3230 and have been very happy with this decision. Don't let the negative reviews get to you. I have big hands and have not found the keypad to be difficult to use with one hand. The weight of the phone makes it relatively stable in your hand. The keypad is firm and has a good tactile feel to it. In terms of stability, I have had the phone for over two weeks now and it has rebooted on me once. I have loaded and tried QuickOffice, which is a relatively work horse application and the phone works fine. Opera also works without a hitch. Also, if there are any other Mac users out there, the 3230 syncs with the Mac as advertised, without any problems. Speed of operations is a little slow in terms of responsiveness of opening/closing programs but I have ot found this to be a major problem.

Just got mail from them and they say still no new fw available... guess have to wait further.

HI!who knows how can i setup the chat for yahoo,hotmail on this phone?What are the settings(server settings etc)?I tried to find them but no luck :( Ps:I don't want to use other app except the one that came in the phone. Thanks!

yes i had my nokia3230 upgraded already to v4.0526.2
15-08-05 rm51
-the annoying beep, still there in a lower volume though.
-there is now the vibrate alert in silent mode for sms.
-it took me almost 2hrs for the s/w update.
thanks to nokia care center at glorietta makati city phils
they do say the time when the phone will be ok. keep up the good work...they do care!

This is the only phone in this world which has everything.

Hey guys i'm from Singapore. I upgraded my phone to v4.0526.2ch 16-08-05. Yup same as that of the guy who posted below. Upgradin takes 4 hours.@wheelock place.anw the bass quality of the mp3 player has improved by alot. It made me reconsider if i nid to buy 3250 or an iPod.Cos the bass can make one's heart thump w the music! Plus the warnin beep sound b4 a call or sms is almost silent(still present tho). Yup. But its quite a great change than the v3.xxx.x firmware. Yup!

yes i do love the style of this phone
and come to think of it that it is a S60 with the FM/Radio feature i'm looking for
but with its drawbacks i was not pleased at all
annoying beep,
no vibrate alert in silent mode,
hangs and the screen freezes to the NOKIA startup sign so i cant switch off unless i remove the battery.
unsatisfactory and a waste of money
almost perfect but not quiet
