yes i do love the style of this phone
and come to think of it that it is a S60 with the FM/Radio feature i'm looking for
but with its drawbacks i was not pleased at all
annoying beep,
no vibrate alert in silent mode,
hangs and the screen freezes to the NOKIA startup sign so i cant switch off unless i remove the battery.
unsatisfactory and a waste of money

I upgraded my N3230 V4.0526.2ch 16-08-05 2 days ago (from date of posting) in SG Nokia Care. So working fine. Mp3 still mono but more bass. Performance no much improve.

Hi , I got this phone 2 days ago , it works fine.But one of th disadvantages is the loud speaker which the volume is not so high , you many miss your calls in street ...
and the quality of MP3 playing is not good at all , i had simenes SL45i it was much nicer .
the camera is good if you have enough light , at the same time Night mode works as well.
the battery life is about 1.5 days if you work with Blue tooth and other applications for about 2-3 hours.
keypad is average , I can't say it's not comfortable but it needs a little paitience.
but in over all I'd say it has every thing u need and want .

What can i say,about this phone? When i click on all my required features on phone seekers (GSM ARENA)this is the only phone,that appears.so for me, theres no challengers in this class.

Well for Singaporean users of 3230, I've went to Nokia Care at Wheelock Place to ask about the latest firmware version for this phone. It's V4.xxxx.x..I haven upgraded today but will do so tml. The personnel said it would take abt 4 hrs and it's free if u present ur warranty card. Yup. Will update u all on the changes after upgrading the phone tml. Yup!

I can't find where i can change the resolution for images.My camera take images with 1280*960. Where I can find this options to put a small resolution?

my nokia 3230 phone is facing problems with its camera display. its just 1 month old phone. my dealer had done reset factory settings, still when i switch on my camera, no image can be viewed & after few minutes its shows "system error". otherwise the phone is very user friendly & trendy. plz tell me what should be done in such cases.

Yes, get a firmware upgrade. U will get to listen to the bass and the volume will be louder. However, its still in mono speaker.

hi think the 3230 wud hav been a brilliant phone if the stupid speaker was stereo instead of mono. just wud really like to know what i can do about the speaker coz im stuck wid this phone for the next 2 years. is it possible to improve the quality and volume of the speaker and maybe even change the speaker itself????

Guys i would greatly encourage to go for a S/W upgrade. I just got back my 3230 today(which i have been using for 4 mths) after the upgrading and well...
1) Inaccurate camera resolution which cause the picture to be stretch sideways is gone.
2) You can now actually hear MP3 with bass, though it is still mono(I would say that the quality of the sound heard through the headset improved quite greatly). With the old S/W, MP3s are plain noise.
3) The most basic and important function is back, the phone DOES vibrate in silent mode when a sms comes in.
Since most of the main concerns of the phone's S/W is solved, so why not go for an upgrade then? Cheers.
