I've been using the 3230 for 2 mths now and i find tht there are only 2 propblems with the phone otherwise its a great package.The probs are the mono mp3 player and nothin can be transferred frm the phone to my pc using bluetooth,but it works the other way round.Can anyone help me with this and whthr mono can be converted to stereo mp3 using any software?

I like this phone as it provide me all the essential functions. The only problem with this phone is that it comes with a 32MB RS-MMC card that all the original nokia default softwares stored.
When I bought the scandisk 512MB and using a multicard reader to transfer all the softwares and it can't work. Now I'm using the 512MB without the photo editor, dictionary, etc..Called the Nokia agent and was told to go back to the dealer who sold me the card readers.(I gave up).
I am very puzzled why can't Nokia supplied at least a 128MB or higher together with the phone, afterall the MMC card is not that expensive and don't mind pay a bit more.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought u were asking about playing it in pc. I, myself is using a 512mb mmc but it lags the phone a lot. But 256mb is just around the same speed, slightly faster. Thats why I bought 512mb instead of 256mb.

Real Player plays .rm files on computer but do it play them on 3230? i dont think so. Looking for a .rm player for 3230. Also looking to buy a 512mb mmc. Those using 512 plz advice me that shall i buy 512 or 256mb card as i have heard that there are problems wid 512mb card, fon gets very so & all that. Looking for da advice. Thanx.

Get realplayer to play the .rm format. I think thats the software.

ok.. i got the 3230 two months ago, its functioning perfectly. a bit of crashes nothing to talk about, its either for openeing a large file or using it improperly fast thinking its a robot. anyway the sound quality is kinda poor but nothing to worry about. starnge how the silent sms dont vibrate but honestly its not a problem, set the volume to the lowest and put the sms alert on to any sound and it will vibrate then without a noise at all ;)
so... problem solved for everybody.
this is the best smart phone i have ever used.. i tried nokis 7610, 7650, 6230i, 6600, 9300 and this is the best one of all, and by the way for everybody... 7610 was the worst one i have ever used in my entire life.
so keep ur 3230 and always ask ur retailer for a new software and ur phone will never have problems as before.

Im so dissapointed about mp3 quality in this phone. Just bought 1Gb MMC card and its completely useless. Is there any software to upgrade sound quality?

Well, I give good applause for nokia who made this wonderful phone. This phone is the best from 3 series ever had. I would love to buy this phone, but for now on the price is still expensive, I'll wait the price slow down.

C: 2963KB / 6139KB
E: 351MB / 489MB
Now my problem is the phone has slowed down.
What can I do to speed up the phone?

I got my 3230 a few days ago and I have a DEAD PIXEL on the display, always lite. Somebody pls tell me how can I solve the problem? Do I have to let the phone on service, 'cause I really need it. Thanks

Nokia 3230 got lifeblog. But then i dun knw wat's that use for.and also, 3230 not good enuf. try not to buy it if can. the battery cover seem to be a bit loose. and also the memory card slot.i hate it! coz i m using it now.!! no choice ,only use it.

repost of (some) opinions thus far :
CAMERA
to reduce camera lag time, off the 'show captured image' option. can find it in camera> image settings.
at basic quality. will oso help reduce lag time.
for camera ratio problem : download ZUnfatcam ..from http://dotsis.com/vb (love it!! really put pics in right ratio)
DUST UNDER COVERS
remove cover manually or send 2 nokia service centres. ask them 2 add extra foam near the keypads.
SOUNDS
make sure all your GENERAL profile sounds. Eg. message, chat, warning tones, alert tones are ON.if not it will be softer. TRY IT ! if u dun believe me.
remove the top cover n u'll see a foam on the speaker outlet. Check 2 see whether its blocking it by REMOVING it carefully..so u can adjust n stick it back..its double-sided taped.. (face this problem b4)
Realplayer will not be able to adjust volume after a call or sms is received during mp3 or sound playback..only solution..restart phone.
THERE IS NO STEREO SOUND..
NO AUTO KEYPAD LOCK
Use Autolock/ Keylock..download from http://dotsis.com/vb
MEMORY CARD
Do not format ur memory card using 3230. USE a card reader. (face this problem b4)
can support up to 1gb..m using 512mb now. will lag a bit due to many files on the card. takes time 2 load the files...bout delay of 3 secs. (using now)
MEMORY RESTRICTIONS
U cant send any file via blutooth above 4mb or 6mb..either one..it will say 'require additional memory'. cant receive due to fle size 2 big as well.. 4mb or 6mb. (bought a card reader)
solution: card reader.
MESSAGE SILENCE & BEEP TONE
No current solutions. There was talks of a firmware upgrade solution by users. However, it seems that nokia are not allowing any more future upgrades (after v3.0515.0ch) due to instability problems.
