repost of (some) opinions thus far :

CAMERA
to reduce camera lag time, off the 'show captured image' option. can find it in camera> image settings.

at basic quality. will oso help reduce lag time.

for camera ratio problem : download ZUnfatcam ..from http://dotsis.com/vb (love it!! really put pics in right ratio)

DUST UNDER COVERS
remove cover manually or send 2 nokia service centres. ask them 2 add extra foam near the keypads.

SOUNDS
make sure all your GENERAL profile sounds. Eg. message, chat, warning tones, alert tones are ON.if not it will be softer. TRY IT ! if u dun believe me.

remove the top cover n u'll see a foam on the speaker outlet. Check 2 see whether its blocking it by REMOVING it carefully..so u can adjust n stick it back..its double-sided taped.. (face this problem b4)

Realplayer will not be able to adjust volume after a call or sms is received during mp3 or sound playback..only solution..restart phone.

THERE IS NO STEREO SOUND..

NO AUTO KEYPAD LOCK
Use Autolock/ Keylock..download from http://dotsis.com/vb

MEMORY CARD
Do not format ur memory card using 3230. USE a card reader. (face this problem b4)

can support up to 1gb..m using 512mb now. will lag a bit due to many files on the card. takes time 2 load the files...bout delay of 3 secs. (using now)

MEMORY RESTRICTIONS
U cant send any file via blutooth above 4mb or 6mb..either one..it will say 'require additional memory'. cant receive due to fle size 2 big as well.. 4mb or 6mb. (bought a card reader)

solution: card reader.

MESSAGE SILENCE & BEEP TONE
No current solutions. There was talks of a firmware upgrade solution by users. However, it seems that nokia are not allowing any more future upgrades (after v3.0515.0ch) due to instability problems.

      "Retry or data will be lost" problem was not a phone problem, it was Memory Card problem! So I had to make a format from a pc to get fixed!

        I got it! The loud speaker simply do not work. Even if I select it or not it stays on headphones...and everything it's played that way. How can I fix it? I think it's a soft problem.

          its a very bad phone hangs a lot.it is too slow dont go for it instead go for 6600 or 7610 model.

            I bought a 3230 TODAY and it seems to have a big problem: I cannot set the volume of ringtones&everything else loud enough. I can hardly hear it even at the higher volume. The sound in headphones it's allright, but not in the speaker. It's normal to hear the selected ringtone played in the conversation speaker or it has a different one for loudspeaker and music? PS the setting for volume works, but is from nothing to barely heared

              i juz bought 3230 4 days ago.But i found tht the memory card slot cannot clip properly.(can't close it tight). and the battery cover feel like can't close it tight also,and can hear some noisy noise from the battery cover when i use my phone. pls!!!can anyone tell me wat's it mean? Is this all seem like normal? pls share this with me and to everyone. thanks...!!! appreciate it.

                  Haiz..i have Nokia 3230..sadly and unfortunately for me it doesnt play mp3s in stereo..even if u add in 3rd party mp3 apps,music quality isnt as gd..bass elements juz nt pronounced enough..

                    I purchased a RSMMC Memory Card for my Nokia 3230. I felt it's a bit expensive. Do u guys know what is the current normal retail price for RSMMC in Singapore?

                        hy! i have a problem with my 3230,or so i think... when the screensaver is on(the normal one,that swos the time) in the middle of the display a line flashes it doesn't do this all the time and it didn't use to do it ithe first few weeks... and also does anyone know how i can get the front case of9so i can clean the display)??? if anyone can help me pls mail at zion_hates_ya@yahoo.com

                            Hey, just bought this phone yesterday and I cant use the video camera. It shows me a message "Retry or all data will be lost", and then with red letters "System error"!!!
                            What the crap is that? Does anyone got a similar problem, or can help me?

                                  Hey n3230
                                  After installing msdriveE, restart ur mobile. Once, mobile is ON, msdrive will be activated automatically. U can check in INBOX, it will appear with SIM card sign other than the normal mail sign.
                                  Before, installing this software make sure to write all the msgs on the paper or copy msgs in other sim as it will delete all the msgs from the current inbox -- Shank.

                                      hey ,could any body tell me how to use MsvDriveE.I have downloaded it from www.mobango.com but after it's installing it on my phone when i tried to open it it does not opened and came back to original menu and all my inbox msg's got deleted .
                                      Is there any other Alternative

                                        dude 1st unzip tat file ; then install it on ur fone using nokia pc suite; u can download pc suite from da nokia website.....its really simple
