Noika 3230 is a very good phone
1. few problems u will find like phone
restart frequently - this is because of
software prblem if by using particular
software your phone automatically restart
remove that software
2. mono mp3 so you download ultramp3
software so it will play stereo for best
result u use head phone HDS- 3 comes
with phone
3. poor video qulaity - play in real player
you will get good qulaity
4. battery consumption - initally every 1
crazy by bying this cell accessing more &
more menus & features so it consumes more
battery but after 1 week 2 day per
rechage if u dont play much with
functions.
5. photo qulaity is good
6. you can view word excel powerpoint files
7. as well as .PDF files also
8. 1 min sound recording max limit per
recording u can record sound in sequence
minute by minute
9 caller photo dispaly in small size
10.keyboard is also comfortable initally it
seems difficult but keybopard is good
11. the main problem is gap is more between keys so dust enters inside the cell
12. in india cost is 15,000/-

Hi,i have a Nokia Ngage and a new 3230,when i click on the menu of the ngage it opens much faster,there is no delay.and once inside any of the submenus its much faster to navigate.On the other hand the 3230 is slow and takes long to navigate inside the submenus.This is a major downside to this phone.Any reason why the 3230 is a bit slow.

if ur phone is under guarantee they are not allowed to rerfuse to fix ur phone, you will always get a dead pixel sometimes it will fix it self, so dont worry about it.

hy i've got a problem on my 3230 and i'm looking for advices,so if anyone can help pls do :) i've got a dead pixel on my display and my local nokia retailer refuses to fix it.so if u've got any idees 4 me please don't be shy :D

Well, can u pls tell me the compatible firmware version which will solve my silent modem problem. Is it possible to download the firmware from any website and upload myself. I'm using v 3.0505.2. Pls suggest.

hii all..i am planing to buy a nokia 3230..presently i have a nokia 6600..i heard the sound output is bad in nokia 3230..but could anybody tell me..is the sound speakers and all other features better than 6600 and 7610? does the phone hang with 512 mmc?pls somebody help me....

Excellent smart phone! Great bluetooth/IR connectivity with Lotus Notes (and Outlook 2). Sound quality is a bit poor (mono), but the Symbian OS is very versatile, and allows plenty of add-ins. A 512 rs-mmc card is a must - the 32mb isn't enough. Overall - excellent combination if you're looking for cellphone/1.3 camera/mp3/PDA.

The drawbacks are
Poor sound quality (Mono sound)
A bit slow
Auto keypad lock not present
3230 hangs with 512 Mb MMC card but not with 256 MMC card
Only 6 Mb Phone memory
Every thing else is good

3230 menu is very complex. Also button c is too rigid. Why everyone call this smart phone?

Hi, Aero! I ever access to http://my-symbian.com to download the 3rd party software, but then it have to pay before download, any recommended website which allow to let me download those 3rd party software and games.

1st of all everything is displayed in the "Specifications" column... nothing is wrong with the specs page given by GSMARENA - but there are 2 more drawbacks which is - there will not be any vibration for incoming messages via silent profile provided firmware version is being upgraded and lastly is Nokia didn't implement this model to be able to save messages in the Memory card directly... but there is a solution for it - so long :)

Shank: My Nokia 3230 doesn't seems to have that problem... but still regarding the silent mode, go do a firmware update/grade at your existing Service Center provided your nation the service center have already got that firmware in hand ;) good luck
