I LOVE IT. I have a 3230 and a 6630 and they are both mint phones. 3230 is great value for money and anyone who thinks that SE are better are plain mad. Nokia are the best there was, the best there is and the best that ever will be. I love the solid feel of the handset and the way it looks, the cool features and the quality joystick. WHAT A HANDSET.

some say tat with a firmware update the beep b4 call/msg can b taken off but if u ask me i dont think so
this fone is da only nokia piece tat employs an ihs speaker ; da same version of speakers u can find in a few system units and hence tis is wat makes it a feature tat cannot b turned off .......

is it true that this phone can only transfer 6mb at one time??? because i heard that it cant transfer the files directly to the memory card.....

is it true that 3230 has a problem re: its mother board which affects the clarity of its camera when it is use, viewed and printed?

hi
I really like the phone,good quality camera, applications and display. Don't really care about the mp3 as I don't use my phone for that. All i'm wondering is how on earth to get rid of that realllly annoying beep! I've been to my nearest nokia care centre but they say they don't have the equipment to help. I live in Milton Keynes, UK. Can anybody help me?

A reminder to all, if you had sent your phone for service, please remember to check your IMEI number which is the label on the back of the phone and also on screen(*#06#) make sure that the IMEI is tally.
Reason is that I sent my phone to care center for service last month and recently i discovered that my IMEI number does not tally with the label on the back of my phone.. I'm really piss off, what have they done to my phone? one of my friend(ex nokia technician) told me that they properly swapped my phone's mother board or some other parts with others.
This is ridiculous!! How can such thing happened in a well known company(NOKIA)? Damn it!

currently i m looking for buying a new hp. the first look of 3230 give me a strong impressions. but anyway,i not sure whether wat is the major problems of this phone. can anyone who using this phone can tell me?and also wat do u think abt the Pros and Cons for this phone. I wil buy it if get to knw more information abt that. Thanks.

it supports true tones also people please read da specifications page
just one more thing to add with respect to specifications
this is an edge class 5 fone and if u get ur firmware flash upgraded to any firmware released on or after 30/03/05 then ur download speed as well as connection speed gets boosted to a max of 177kbps as per edge
however upload speed will remain as per normal gprs standards note hardware is edge class 5 not class 10

Hi! veryone.
well Iam due for an Upgrade. I want to decide between the SE 750i and the Nokia 3230.
I do agree the 750 i does seem a bit boring as it is not Symbian but with mono MP3 the 3230 also is not very appealing.
Can someone please confirm that the mono output can be changed to stereo in the 3230 with firmware upgrade? and does firmware upgrade have any disadvantages like Freezing/hanging etc.?

65K (65536 to be precise), has, 65k colors.
262k (262144 to be precise), has more colors, but the screens are the same though. they used that to attract more customers.
About the mono speakers, yes, u can upgrade the firmware, but, I'm not too sure about it though.
About the covers, u can order online or check some phone dealers (depends on where u live) or check your Nokia Care Centre.

dis coolapp converts your 3230 or any series 60 fone into a live webcam the firmware comes in a 2 pac version da client version to b installed on ya pc n da server version on ya mobile u can either use it for an ftp upload or traditional webcam withda help of an addon namely softcam

hi there.. Can anyone tell mi wat is the different between a 65K colour phone and a 256K color phone? Also, can I do something to 3230 mono MP3 and change it to a stereo one? Hw to make the changing of the housing easier other then going to the handphone store?

i heard that during slient mode, they is no vibration for both sms n call is that true? does nokia going to upgrade the vibration part. hmm compare to d500c (samsung) which one is better? i still can make up my mind which phone to buy.

after i've upgraded the firmware to V3.0515.0ch , symbianware callrecorder no longer working. anyone facing the same problem??
