hay br19htside,
nokia recamends rs-mmc only up to 64mb,
but you can use any storage,if you use a larger capacity rs-mmc (about 256,512) then it doesn't matter that much.if you use a larger capacity rs-mmc and use most of you'r storage(fill up you'r storage),then your phone would get slover in accessing the mmc,and some times it would get stuck, but i say you to buy any capacity, bigger for less money, but try to avoid using all you'r memory, keep you'r unused memary for an emergancy, using a larger storage mmc would not harm you'r phone, though you'r phone gets slower whe using, when you remove it it would become normal any day!.......

So far I am quite happy with the phone except for a few glitches. The operating system is a bit slow. Moreover, sometimes the backlight remains lit even if the phone is on a screen saver mode. Naturally that eats up into the battery life. Can someone help me on this? Can't say I am overly joyed with the battery life of this phone. I thought only Simens had a problem with their battery lives.....seems like I was wrong!

I don't really like this phone either at first (i do love symbian, upgraded from 6600). U know, distorted camera shots, irritating beep, non-vibrating sms, horrid mp3 quality, yada yada. But I never had problems with auto-restart and stuff. Ok, so maybe I had once or twice, but I was playing around with some 3rd party system software stuffs so yeah I really think the phones pretty stable.
Moreover, since I recently found out that this new firmware (although it SEEMs to have introduced auto-off problems) fixes all those annoying problems up there, i'm pretty much inclined to think this is a GREAT phone.. when the stable new firmware omes out that is..
I'm wondering to wait or to force my way into the care centre and demand for the new firmware..

In my 15 years of using various high ended handphone, so far 3230 is my best collection. By the way, I don't use siemens and motorola...
What can you expect from a phone? 3230 has it all...Great work Nokia! I LOVE MY 3230!

Wow, if that's the case it's not an upgrade but downgrade oh... how come Nokia allow release of such firmware to the public? Or is it under beta testing?

To Powser:
I think the technician was right, I encountered auto off instead of auto reboot since the day i flash my phone with firmware v4.0526.0ch and it occured during runnning of applications.
And for ur info, 3rd party software can still be install without a problem.

Singapore nokia's aren't allowing the upgrade of firmware to v4.0526.0ch. At least the suntec one doesn't. I quarrelled for half an hour with the staff but still got no results.
One of the technicians mentioned that the new firmware is unstable and causes lots of auto offs. I don't see why they have to argue 1/2 hr with me if they can just flash it unless it's really true the new firmware's buggy.
So can someone with the new firmware confirm if the phone auto offs frequently?
During calls (both receiving and dialling)?
during runnning of applications?
And can 3rd party software still install properly?
And lastly everyone's still wondering if there's REAL STEREO.. can someone test with an mp3 that has distinct left/right audio?

jian.com.my:
Hey pal, thx for the info. Anyway, i would like to highlight that the zitron website is not up-to-date... i think the last time they update is back in 2002... for kota kinabalu Zitron actually shifted to Centre Point already and no longer at Penampang New Township. And I don't quite like the guy there the last time when i visited them. They belittled me when i complain about the sound quality and level there. They thought I know nothing about sound.... I think the guy probably don't even know what's frequency response and what is decibel (dB).
Ok...now, anybody has any new software to recomment for our lovely phone?
