To ropbe install the power torch to keep the light on.(freeware). Nokia team members know about this problem last two year ago..They don't solve it. Mabye 4 save the batt. Life.

if anyone faced this problem before

Stupid firmware on the 3230. Can't change light time out duration. Your looking at the screen & it blacks out in the middle of reading a text or whatever !
There's no option to set longer time :-(
What's the matter with Nokia ?
The software is already written & on the 6630 to give this option. It would cost nothing to include that option on the 3230 & thereby stop an otherwise reasonable phone from being a pain in the butt !

The Photo Editor Software normally comes together with the Microsoft Office. You normally have Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access & Photoeditor.
Just open the picture using Photo Editor, click "Image", then "Resize", click "Allow Distortion" box, then set Height to 106%... this is equivalent to around 1024 pixel.

I like the features of the phone but have a complaint on the built in speakers - sound quality is terrible. Did not expect such a new model to have sound quality that bad!!! Any advice on improving the sound quality while playing MP3 pieces??

hi every body today i was really dissapointed. i got a 3230 n i realized it cant store sms into the card. I have a 7610 n they allow to store sms in card. Is there anyway to store sms in card for 3230 eg. any software???????/ thanks

This is a bug from the firmware and answer is already posted before. However, this problem happens when your phone is set to Silent Mode. It does not vibrate.
You have to use the Meeting instead. Or make another profile, personalize it then name it Silent. Of course you must rename the original Silent to something else.

hey i just wanted to ask if the nokia 3230 vibrates when a message is recieved..cause my phone doesnt and its really irritating to check every minute whether u got a message or not

Mistake by pressing "y"... instead you must select "YES" to acknowledge closing an application...

Compressed Picture:
- It's not enough to send the picture to the computer and expect an uncompressed picture afterwards. I use a photo editor to change the resolution from 1280x960 to 1280x1024. You must click "allow distortion" to have only the vertical size adjusted.
Clearing Memory Cache:
- Most of us doesn't close the applications properly leaving them always running in the background. You don't need any special software to close them while they are running. Just press the "menu" button for 2 seconds and all the running applications appears on the left corner of you screen. Select the application you want to close then press "c", acknowledge by pressing "y".
