top phone i have had mine for over a week if anyone wants any i can sell at good prices as im a mobile phone account manager @ tariffcheckers and we have many in stock.

Hie guyz,
I just wanna enquire some settings for the ringing tones. Besides using the default tones, can I put other format like midi, wav, and mp3 as ringing tones ??
And can I set "Assigned tones" to each person or the N3230 using caller ID ?
Cuz I'm gonna put some mp3 in it and I wanna set them as ring tones. Pls help me out :)

Stay away from symbian...it has way too many viruses .. Nokia is becoming the microsoft of mobile world...!
Malware authors have created a Trojan that targets Symbian series 60 smart phones from Nokia and attempts to remove any anti-virus protection it finds. The Drever-C Trojan attacks mobile anti-virus packages from F-Secure, Kaspersky and Simworks running on Symbian devices. Targeting security protection is common in mainstream Windows PC malware but this is a recent innovation for mobile viruses.

actually there is a solution for every problem hp. dis nokia 3230 is mono but is loud just like stereo.the sound quality sound nice to me. however if u wan better quality u can download ultra mp3 player from www.lonelycatgames.com it will sound better.
just like sony ericsson k700. everyone is complaining about the memory. I have beeen using k700 n is goood. just transfer the mp3 to mp4 and i have 30 songs in my k700.
Besides k700 play mp3 well. mp4 quality is better than mp3

hey anuj i gt da cell fr 17k..yeah da sidey shops r givin it cheaper fr like 16500 bt i found almost all da rates everywhr nd no1 is givin da fone dat cheap...aftr holi, da prices mite fall...so u can wait til den

Its really funny reading the problems people r having with their new phone. I have exactly 20 days and i dont know what to do now.
Just gonna wait and if something better is launched will look into that, otherwise its gonna be the 3230.
does the 3230 have a joystick? cant make out if there is one in the photograph.

Yah, kinda a mistake I did here, eh? ^^ Should have waited longer.. Wait for the updates and the price to drop.
But I bought it already! Doh :p
Not just complaining I did here, want to make sure whether it just my phone broken or everyone got the same problems. Because I did claim it to Nokia Care and Professional Center at my place, but they didn't give me any solution. They didn't have another handset to compare, and they haven't got any 3230 complains because it's still brand new said them.
Look forward to hearing from N3230 owners.. ^^

Why people are always complaining that their new phone has bugs ? New launched phones always have bugs ! Never buy a new phone, wait at least three 3 months...

Good news. Now available here in thailand for 15300 bahts = 300 Euros. But I prefer to wait for the 6681...

I have these bugs with my N3230, how about you guyz?
1. Image's height is shorten a little when captured, and yes, I got bad pixels too when it transfered to PC.
2. When I go 'silent' and turn the vibrate ON, my phone won't vibrate when receiving a message/SMS. But there's no problem when receiving a call. Therefore, I can't notice an incoming message if I need to set the phone to 'silent'.
3. By far, my phone has restarted itself twice since the day I bought it a week ago. Not a big problem, hope it won't do that again.
Facts that Persian Gulf Forever stated is correct, I'm kind of dissapointed with that lacks. The PC Suite CD that didn't come with the package is dissapointing as well. Checked, downloaded, and installed PC Suite 6.41 from the Nokia official web, but doesn't work with N3230. Frustated, guyz..
Nick, did you mean the strange metal clicking noise when you pressed a button? It happens to me also. Very annoying but can do nothing.
Sean, I'm kinda worried about that too. How come Nokia didn't launch the N3230 with great promotion or advertising, while N3230 itself has some quite stunned features. And why didn't they put this phone in the 6 series which has a promising better type of class.

I saw the phone today!
Ok i didnt like the fact that you can see between the keys on the keypad... very nasty!
And i didnt like the fact that the backcover didnt have a button, which would mean after several opening and closings, it would get loose and drop every once in a while!

Repeat: Nokia 3230 it's a mono mp3 device(not radio, witch is stereo), very good quality, but mono. Also it is the smallest and lighter symbian mobile (note it). Compare with 6630, only have the mp3 mono problem... becouse, who use the videoconference with 6630? NOBODY.
The rest? i prefer, the radio, de USB conection, the IrDa and the small and pretty desing... and of course, the price!!!!!
Note to 6630 users: Don't make critics about this device becouse all that.

guys news just in that the mp3 player in 6230i is supposed to be stereo player, me thinks if that mp3 player is installed in nokia 3230 that would make it a stereo player too will try it out n let u all know
