3230 is good set but its little slow when its memory card is full. picture resolutions are good and video quality is fine.

First, this phone IS a good phone although it is not perfect. The OS is somewhat slow but that is only because it is more advanced than the average phone. Sure, you can buy a newer phone with more features, but for what you get for your money, this is a great phone. Honestly, with Agile Messenger the phone pays for itself in 3-4 months. Show me a cheaper phone with this many features (I paid 240USD).

Is there an option of conneting external speakers (la ipod),people say that speaker and ringtones are not loud enough.

Hi Friends,
3230 Is a great Phone. No doubt.
Only thing is I am unable to send MMS messages.
When I press *#0000# I got my FirmWare Version:
I have V 4.0537.0
19-09-05
RM-51
I am using AIRTEL Network.
I have all the settings configured for MMS.
When I try to create new MMS message as below:
1. Menu
2. Message
3. New Message
4. Multimedia Message
- The screen flashes once, that's all. Nothing happens.
I also tried to change the MMS Settings. To do that, I did the following:
1. Menu
2. Message
3. Settings
4. Multimedia Settings
- Bang again screen flashes once, nothing happens. ( I mean to say no options displayed Under MMS Settings )
What could be the problem.
Can you guys suggest me on this?

Hi Friends,
I have a problem with Nokia 3230.
Problem: I am unable to send MMS.
Provider: Airtel
I have received MMS Settings Thru Airtel.
I saved the settings.
When I go the The Option - Message - New Message - Multimedia Message, Nothing happens.
Even I tried to changes MMS settings Like This.
Menu - Message - Settings - Multimedia Message - The result is nothing.
No Errors Displayed, Not Hung, But I am unable to Send MMS

hy guys.weel i reed some opinions of some guys who think this phone sucks because the software is really slow,i am sorry to say guys but may be your nikoa 3230 software is not up to date ,you should really contact a nokia dealer and update your software,or delete the remanings of some programs that you have instaled and then uninstaled,you also should protect your phone against viruses,you will find a verry god anti virus on www.f-secure.com,amd some virus utilityes,if some one from europe wants some programs for symbian os 6 and os 7 just write me an e mmail and if i can i will send you a cd with lots of programs,downloaded from wap and web.and in the future pls be more patient with symbian software because is known to work slowley than java software.bye

Ivan, Please provide more details on your problem related to your phone unable to activate the speaker... I have encoutered maybe a similar problem as yours... My phone always indicated that the headset was connected thus disabling the speaker.

This phone is good because of a wide screen and have a loud speaker, the features it's ok.........

tis phone is really suck..listening to the mp3 is just like listening to cheap radio..the phone laggg so much and rally make my mad.

i do have a problem with my 3230 fone i installed the symantec anti virus into my fone and since then my fone can go beyond the start up menu.
to go the menu section it hangs.
can any one help mi with this issue.
i will b waitin for your reply.

yes i know its JUST a phone, i NEVER expected the mono mp3 to sound good either, but neither did i expect it to sound TERRIBLE as it did previously which is a FACT! no excuses for this.

don't buy this fone never ever,it realy sucks realy.this phone is very slow when the memory is low.but i must to tell that this nokia have very good aplications and is very intrestyng desin

hi guys this shoaib from pakistan hey guys you know that this phone is rabish i havd been using this 5 months ago i was very in problem with my this mobile phone this very very vey and very slow and rubish now a days sony ericisson is the best i think greath picture quality greath sound system and greath and fast speed

This Phone really sucks. Don't Buy this phone. I've been using this for 4 months now and It is very slow and now my mem. card is corrupted. Most of the People here in the Phil. regrets in buying this none sense phone. NEVER EVER BUY IT.

Hi guys, My friend has got this mobile. Just unsatisfactory!!! Tooooooo slow and sometimes the phone hangs out. If Nokia does not consider this, then they would be out of market. I think you had a better option of Samsung and sony ericson. Sony ericson has sum problems like softwares hangs out in every model. they are only conscious about their ring tone quality. So i think samsung is the best. Nokia is somewaht boring phone. They should made it interesting
