(rephrase) i did reset my phone, but there was no change. pleeease help meee!!!! i just bought my phone today...viperkid, if you could help me, i'll buy you a drink! ;)

hi..which do u think is better the 3250 or the 6680??also are these problems in the 3250 about messeging and software right??and are these problems found in the 6680??

i have a big problem with my 3250. it completely looses its network covereage and acts as it would be in offline mode. i tried to reset it but it won't work. please help me! what should i do?

viperKid you are doing a good job by helping people God will give you reward.I want to ask you that can we use the N93 tv output cable with 3250 or N 73 and use tv as our cell's display thx.

i just bought this phone and i'm really upset of this thing taking 3 mins to send a message and you can't even use the it while it's in that process. the current version is 3.23 is there like an update that already fixed this problem? please someone answer me asap before i go crazy and throw this thing away. thanks

by the way i didnt check my firmware yet.. ill just txt my bro to find whats my firmware..tnx

but ppl k750 is old now!!
see k750i is for = 13,300 RUPEES
and w810i = 16,500 RUPEES
and 3250 = 18,500 RUPEES

so my range is 18,500 RUPEES!!
u can tell me in n e currency!! :)

perhaps d nokia care center u visited does not hav a more updated one than ur current 3.18 meaning dey also hav 3.18 dat's y dey said sending service commands wil stil not work otherwise d nokia care rep u talked with is not well trained and he/she does not know wat he/she is talkin about coz i've tried upgrading to 3.21 and it corrected d problem re sending service commands with instant reply on screen (my balance)! also, as far as i know, firmware upgrading does not include disasembling/opening of ur unit coz i had upgraded my firmware 2 times already and i was told by nokia care philippines dat dey won't open my unit anymore coz its cumbersome (coz i requested dem to open my 3250 juz to clean d inner screen display..). here in our country firmware upgrades takes around 2-6 hours only and u can get ur unit on d same day u brought it (on selected authorized centers)!

yup i had 6630 b4. nope im not "themagicpenguin" u were referrin to in 6630's forum. juz want to remind u dat u must only buy 3250 direct from Nokia Store or any authorized distributors! never get from any unathorized stores (black market) which does not hav any warranty from nokia coz these units hav lots of problems (malfunctioning twisting mechanism, lagging on sending a message and more). u may b savin some dime f u buy in black market but u'll surely have headache! so don't forget get 3250 only at nokia store!

wat's ur firmware? try to uprade to at least 3.21 or 3.23 or 3.28 whichever is available in ur area at ur nearest authorized nokia care ctr. btw, when i bought my 3250 last April 1, i never experienced any lagging on sending msgs and/or performance, in fact 3250 is d fastest S60 i've ever used to date! i had 6630 and 7610. i hop u didn't get urs in d black market.. (no offense). as of now, u can't get firmware updates from nokia and do it on ur own PC. u can check here weekly, nokia is adding new phones from time to time:

i guess, its really up to ya.. btw, wer did u get ur 3250? nokia store or authorized distributors or d black market? but honestly, all d problems u told me does not exist on my 3250 even my firmware then was only 3.18! i wish u d best of luck next tym u get a new phone!

no u can't get ulead nokia edition in d internet. d 1 on d cd is not a trial version. if u got ur 3250 at an authorized distributor, then u can ask them a copy for free!

if u don't need symbian, u may want to try W810, but if u need symbian 3250 is d best choice (buy only at nokia store) ryt now it will surely turn heads more than W810 can, obviously coz of d twisting keypad! also, u must take note dat 3250's loudspeaker may b only 1 but d output is stereo and it is louder than ur 6270s loudspeaker! i don't recommend SE k750 coz of d joystick, it will malfunction or will hav a defect after 6 months for sure, 100%! by then, its virtually useless! i had k750 before, its great but then again d joystick issue.. final verdict, is still up to ya!

i think u got ur 3250 from ur carrier/network operator or from d black market. no offense, but those units really has d said issues. u may try to upgrade ur firmware to 3.23 at nokia care.

i don't blame u if ur confused. u see, not all person who posts in here got their 3250 from nokia care/authorized distributor so not all of em got d 100% fault free unit. ask for me, i got it from nokia store direct last april 1, and trust me, i never had d said lagging or hanging when sending msgs even i only had 3.18 firmware then.. buy only at nokia store to avoid faulty units! never buy in d black market. i hav 3250 for over 5 months now, and i hav 800++ msgs, but never experience slowing on sending msgs even by groups! im using 512mb microSD

There are no 100% perfect production from handphone.Some of them are defect.

Our friends who said this handset goed,ya they get normal product,this 3250 has better performance than their older handset or they are not overestimated over this 3250.

Our friends who said many complaints,maybe they get defect product/software problem, or their older handset have faster response than 3250 or they are overestimated over this 3250.That's why they are disappointed.

So if you are sure that the feature in this handset can fulfill your need,get it, and you must buy it in officially Nokia (don't buy it in black market).Than if you find problem you can change it (with same or another type without problem).

But sure,smartphone shall slower response than normal phone.
The best if you have friends around you,so you can try it by yourself and ask to your friends directly (not only via website).

Hey All. In Brief I wanna say that the Nokia 3250 is a great set for mid-range users. To answer your questions:

No it dosen't take 5 mins to send an SMS. it sends it in two secs or less. The problem may be with your gsm provider or carrier.

It dosen't need formating at all. I've been using it for one month and a half and it performs real smooth. Besides it's a performance beast with a 233 MHz ARM CPU and 32 MB RAM (too much for a smartphone), so it dosen't use the 10 MB flash memory as virtual memory, then you can fill it up without the risk of it slowing down like other phone brands.

The good thing in this smartphone is that it has one of the loudest speakers in the cellphone market. It goes beyond 105 dB without distortion. The equalizer is responive and the Bass boost is a nokia's grand prize winner that leaves other music phones way behind.

The bad thing about it is the low-end 2 Mpix cam. It hasn't any autofocus and no flash and disorts alot in low lighting conditions.

For benchmarking this phone ran the SPmarkjava06 3D game @ 14.1 FPS and the 2D game @ 42 FPS (wich also leaves other phones way behind).

In a scale of 1 to 10 i give it 8.2~8.3

hi everybody i'm planing to get a new phone next month & i was thinking of this phone but i'm completely confused...some people said it's a great phone and they don't have any problems...but other says it doesn't worth and the main problem that it hangs alot & needs formatting every few days & the strange thing that it takes about 5min. to send an SMS?!?? is that right??plz help me i need to decide what phone to buy..

I am into the habit of changing cell phones every 2 months ... i had bought this set 3250 some 5 months back and i still dont wanna change it ... its an awesome set ... the music,sound,display,look,cam, everything is soooo cool ! i wont change this set ... keep this set ... this set is highly fabulous !
