unlocked phone means, a unit dat is not network locked (phones u usually get from a NOKIA STORE and not from any network operator bundled with service plans) or in other words, u can put any sim card to it and it will work. here in d Philippines, u call it "open line" unit.

u can upgrade ur firmware to d OEM thru ur nearest nokia care center or authorized service center by nokia. its 100% free as long as ur phone comes with 1 year limited warranty. i think u got ur 3250 from a network operator... usually other phones even non-nokia ones suffers from bugs when they are provided by network operators bcoz of their own version of firmware..

ok ppl....dis ting in india sux....like i gt dis fone 4 Rs.24999(Feb,2006) but nw widin 4 months da fone is being sold 4 Rs.14999. Also it supports Softwares of da 3rd Generation.......n yea.....dis fone is wrth...all da money....gr8 speakers.....kool cam....sxi lukz......n yea...nice keypad......dis fone ROX>>..!

guys, i installed the fast and furious 3d java game insinde 3250, but after playing a while it says my memory is full.. and i have to quite the game... any1 facing this prob?? and did u guys notice when playin java game, if u on the sound the game becomes way too lag

@ James : Same here. i'm having that problem as well... lags for a fixed 70 sec per message. really s##ks when even sending a 1 word message freezes the phone for 70 sec before sending >__<
@ viperkid : my firmware version is V3.21 RM-38... how do i upgrade my firmware to the OEM version?
My second problem is, i recently reformated my memory card on the instructions of the Nokia personnel, who suggested that the freezing might be caused due to programs installed inside the memory card... as a result, i lost all the pre-installed programs and i have no idea how to get it back... can anyone help??? (i know the nokia website provides a list of programs, some of which are preinstalled in the memory card, but after dling n transfering it to my memory card(after formatting), it doesn't work...)
3rd of all, i cant put wallpapers for my background... it says "filesize too big" when it's a picture taken from the 3250 itself... my fren's pphone doesnt have this problem at all...

hello evrbody, just bought nokia 3250 3 mths ago. unfortunately, i found out 3 disadvantages over this hp.
(1) i don't like the back side of it. the gloss-black finish can get dirty and when you put it on the table, it can scratch so easily. nokia never thought of designing the backpart of their hp.
(2) the gloss black finish backside (battery cover) now started to get loose and wobble. can't believe nokia actually design this useless battery cover as a cheap quality one.
(3) lousy new 3rd edition symbian/OS. functions are slower than nokia 6680. NK6680 are much faster and fun to play with.
too slow loading time coz too much 3d designs on icons. for me, this is not necessary. i prefer more faster loading time hp than a fancy one.

d microSD adapter is used for devices/appliances with a standard SD slot (not with miniSD slots). nokia provided d adapter so if u hav a plasma/lcd wide screen or a laptop or any device with SD slot u can easily access and view ur files stored on ur microSD in more devices, in short for easy networking! juz insert ur microSD inside d microSD adapter.
to check ur phone's firmware juz type *#0000# wyl on idle screen (where normally ur network operator is shown with d battery and signal sign together with time and date)

all ur current themes and apps/games with .sis extension are NOT compatible with 3250. games/apps with .jar extensions are compatible with 3250. d reason, 6630 = S60 2nd ED FP2 wyl 3250 = S60 3rd ED with new software platform and security thus old programs/apps/games/themes made for S60 2nd ED FP3 and below will not work with 3250, N80, N91, N93, N71, N73 unless d author of d application/game/theme updates its codes to make it compatible with d said new models under S60 3rd ED.

Got Chinese Language? how is it better than Nokia7610? Nokia 3250 has radio but 7610 don't have... 3250 can Turn the camera but 7610 can't... anymore?

hi guys, I am very much new to this forum. I am just about to buy 3250. I just want to
know whether anyone has used 1 gb memory card in 3250 and is the phone running without any hassles. please advise if any negative points about this phone.

it only means dat ur network is not yet ready to offer its EDGE service. or it may b only applicable to its postpaid subscribers, in case dat ur on prepaid, u can contact ur provider for more details..

it runs .sis (as long as dat .sis file is made for S60 3rd ed phones and NOT d old ones made for N70, 3230, 6630, 6680, 7610, 7650..) and .jar files.

ask for me, i never experienced dat problem. wen i first got my 3250 d firmware was V3.18 RM-38 i got it on a NOKIA store directly and NOT from my network operator with 1 year limited warranty. units dat came with network operators which has their own firmware versions usually has dat problem.. upgrade ur firmware to the OEM version.

Hi I'm new to the post. My network has been upgraded to support EDGE recently. But the problem is that I can't use in the handset itself. It doesn't show the E sign or neither do I get faster data rate but only normal GPRS rate. But when I connect it to the PC it gets connected at 300-400kbps and get much faster data access. I know that this is EDGE because the data transfer is also very fast. SOS

I think this phone is very stylish and the first time i saw it was in Rhianna's video then I started searching for it in our mobile stores, failing this search I had to visit this website to find out which brand it was because I swore it was of a samsung brand based on its very stylish design. This design is VERY GREAT, however I think if it was only smaller then you would get a wider share of the market to choose this type of phone because its features are also great.
