im not really sure, but i think 4gb microSD will b compatible with 3250 as long as dat capacity will b available in d future.. on d other hand, 2GB microSD will surely b compatible, remember wat nokia said bout their previous models like 6230i, it says on their official website dat it is only compatible up to 512mb mmc card but i had 6230i and placed a 1GB mmc card and it works perfectly same thing with 3250!

i twisted d phone to camera and music modes when its locked about 10x and never had dat problem and never did i experienced any hang ups with 3250 since april 1, 2006. take note d firmware version of my unit is V3.18 RM-38 when i tried those tests. ur firmware may b older than V3.18 or perhaps u got ur 3250 bundled with a plan from ur network operator with their own firmware and NOT the OEM's firmware by NOKIA. my suggestion, upgrade ur firmware to V3.21 with the OEM firmware.

Problem 1, phone hangs in twisted camera or Player mode when phone is locked.
Problem 2, Phone quite recently restarts on its own. Pls help

Hi everyone. the fone is good but i was disappointed with the CAMERA quality, is it really 2MP??????/ my 6630 had a better resolution for sure. Is there any software or something to improve this thing. i would really appreciate if somebody could helpme out with this.

i tried both the ways... restarting my fone just gives first few themes in the app manager along with the installed apps and thru file manager and search for the installed theme , i dont get any result.. plz help

be sure to select "memory card" then select d folders "sounds" then finally final destination is "digital" folder and NOT d drive C: or "phone memory" in d PC suite 'audio manager' (assuming ur using dat 1 and not d latest 'music manager') or i recommend to use ur phone as a USB mass storage, u can do it by:
plug d cable to ur PC and phone respectively and when d phone asks for d mode (if it doesn't ask u, b4 proceeding go to "connect." > "data cable" > and choose "ask on connection") select "data transfer" and NOT "PC suite" then phone will go to offline mode, that's normal, after that windows auto play will show (if XP) b sure to just close it or hit cancel, afterwards juz go to "my computer" on ur PC and u can find ur 3250's microSD as one of d disk drives and choose it and go to this directory: sounds/digital, after opening dat folder on ur microSD, minimize d window and now find d music files u want to transfer to d microSD and as simple as copying then pasting it to d window u minimized a wyl ago. u can transfer about 150 songs in juz about 10 mins!

Hi... i got the Nokia 3250 last week... its great... but ive got a problem... i wanted to transfer some songs to the phone from my computer... but everytime i try to do that using the PC suite.. it says not enough memory on the phone... so how do i transfer them on to the Memory Card?? please helppp!!!

i can assure you 100% that 3250's loudspeaker is definitely LOUDER and CLEARER than W800 and W810. and yes, its externals r very good except for 1 thing, d joystick's silver paint worn out and turned into black after almost 3 months, but i really don't mind it bcoz my 3250 is black so it kinda meshed well! maybe dat thing happened coz my hands easily gets sweaty.. hehe =)

yup, after inserting microSD back to 3250 juz go to d music player > options > music library > options > update music library and voila, all supported music formats will appear!

try to switch d phone off and on again, by then all themes must b on d app. mgr. (firmware 3.18 always has dat issue..) but if d files aren't there still, u can try to do this: go to organiser > file mgr > options > find > then type d theme u want to remove..

They are really loud, and if you use mp3 as ringtone, you ALWAYS hear it..

u can upgrade ur firmware in ur nearest authorized nokia service center or to a nokia care center in ur country, u can try to contact em locally.. usually firmware upgrade is FREE of charge for 1 year from date of purchase and u can upgrade it everytime there's a new one, as long as u got ur 3250 in an authorized store or if d box of ur phone has a sticker of "comes with a limited warranty"
firmware is a software program or set of instructions programmed on a hardware device. it provides the necessary instructions for how the device communicates with the other hardware device
OR
firmware is d software version of a mobile phone (actually even digicams, TVs, DVDs and d like has this) usually if d firmware no. of ur unit is lower it means d built in software of ur device is older, take note firmwares r continually being upgraded by manufacturers to improve their device's performance and if any, correct any BUGS or ERRORS dat d current firmware has.. it's like windows xp service pack1 and windows xp service pack2, between em WinXP SP2 is more updated than the SP1, hence SP2 may have more features and/or better performance plus corrected software problems.. in other words firmware updates can improve the performance and reliability, indeed even the basic available functionality of a device, and many devices benefit from regular firmware updates. u can check ur firmware (if nokia) by pressing *#0000# wyl ur on d idle screen or standby screen wer ur wallpaper, signal strength and battery meter is usually shown.. or u can take it from this point of view, firmware upgrade is like re-installing an OS like windows xp on ur PC.. =)

d slowing down on d msgng side is bcoz of d old firmware (preproduction version, lower than V3.18) or perhaps bcoz of d network provider's bundled firmware which does NOT hav d OEM firmware of Nokia installed. a simple firmware upgrade will solve dat problem. i hav 3250 for almost 3 months, and d twisting doesn't seem to change from d first tym i got it, still works 100% whichever u twist, phone, music or camera mode!

ur welcome! oh yeah, i forgot, u can buy a card reader (a USB SD card reader, if im not mistakin) and use d microSD of 3250 as a USB mass storage. standard 3250 package contains a microSD adapter so u can plug it on d SD card reader..

3250 is a S60 3rd ed symbian phone which has d new security platform for better virus protection and content protection (this is a plus for game/app developers but not to us..) sExplorer is like fExplorer but it does not browse 'sys' and 'private' folders due to d aforementioned reasons. u can download it here:

if ur a music addict, i highly recommend 3250 and yes, it can play many types of ringtones be it, WAV, mp3, AAC, eAAC+, wma and more! as for connectivity, 3250 does not have an infrared and it's not WLAN, so if those r not dat impt to u, 3250 might b d real phone for ya.. on d other hand, re compatibility, as of now there r not dat much of compatible games/apps for 3250 bcoz of it being a S60 3rd ed model like N80, N71 but rest assured by end of this year, we'll see LOTS of apps/games and ALOT lot more themes for 3250!
