yes, actually gsmArena just posted/translated mobilmania's review. the tested unit really had d old firmware, mobilmania confirmed it by saying:
"First, not even once did I manage to use the control buttons situated on the rotary segment of the phone. I have no other choice but to assume that this problem is caused by the firmware of the tested model. Let's hope that its FINAL VERSION will work seamlessly."
one more sign of UNFINALIZED firmware, mobilmania said:
"The device needs about HALF A MINUTE only to get started. No difference as to Nokia 6681, for example."
me and GENUINE 3250 owners will totally DISAGREE with the comments of mobilmania's reviewer bcoz it does not take half a minute, in REALITY it only takes around 15 - 17 seconds to be exact to boot 3250, plus d fact that d twisting thing works 100%!
yes, definitely the newer firmware made d sound quality better! also, take into account that another factor y mobilmania mentioned d bass elements r poor and d sound remained lame even wen using different earphones bcoz maybe they did not have enough time or did not manage to properly configure each band of d equalizer and used d default preset ones which r not good settings (perhaps they r used with SE phones having great preset equalizer settings)! let me share this to you, i plugged in my panasonic earphones and d acoustic elements and d diapason got better but since dat earphone can't handle too much bass i sorted to d inbox earphones provided which i think is better overall in sound quality, im planning to buy earphones by panasonic with bass booster capability very soon! once u hav ur 3250 juz tell me so i can giv u a screenshot of d best equalizer settings for 3250!

u mentioned in one of your opinion letters that the nokia 3250 that gsmarena used to review the product had old firmware and the reviewer noted that the sound is not as good, does this mean that the newer firmware made the nokia 3250 sound quality better?

Im gonna buy this phone it seems good and if i think the camera is crap then ill just buy a digital camera... but i think nokia is going quite bad on all there designs all the nokia phones are 2 big or dont have bluetooth..memory card blah blah i have been tempted 2 swap over 2 samsung but i just cant do it my friend just brought the samsung d600 the camera is 2MP and it amazin i have seen some movies from it and they are really good

the only way i know how to do it and it probably is the only way, is to stick the tiny memory card into an adapter and into a memory card reader then into your computer.
go on my computer, removable disk drive and make sure that your folders on the computer are not hidden because there will be a hidden 'system' folder on the memory card. copy that folder to your PC and the themes will be on it and whenever you want the themes back on your phone copy that folder back onto the memory card and it should work, thats how i used todo it with my old smartphone but im pretty certain it will work for the 3250, its worth a shot..

Any one know how to backup the theme of Nokia 3250's which are pre-loaded in the Memory Card(i,e Rock/Tchno)....i think if i format the mem card it is definatly erased...but i want to keep those themes permanatly in my PC and when needed i can re-install.....I connect the phone via PC-Suite and search via phone browser...in the memory card drive there is nothing i can find .....plz help....

i hate my nokia 3250, yes the sounds is good but the problem is the camera, compared to n70 and n90, 2mp and so?
try it, put your nokia 3250 on your magnetic pouch, it will unlock it automatically and it'll play alone, i was shocked when i was sleepin i thought therz a god damn ghost tryin to scare me, wahahahaha

Im currently thinking of getting a 3250, the speaker quality it is better than the 7710 speaker if someone knows it would be great

1) yes it can play videos in full screen landscape (almost full screen, bcoz u can see small bars on top and bottom approx 4 millimetres each, that is true on playing 176x144 videos)
2) yes, 3250 does not support old apps created for older symbian phones.
3) video recording is quite prompt.

no u can't turn off d shutter sound.

1. yes its lower in cases of poor lighting and close up shots but wen used outdoor u will hardly see d difference
2. quality is somewhat d same via inbox earphones (as long as u know how to properly set each band of d equalizer, etc.). yes it supports more music formats like WMA, eAAC+, real audio, etc. for me WMA has d same quality but a bit smaller in size compared to MP3, on d other hand eAAC+ has almost d same quality as MP3 (from original 96%) wyl eAAC+ has around (from original 92%) u will hardly notice any difference but d most important fact about eAAC+ is d file size bcoz 1 full track is approx 1.5 to 1.8 mb in size only! a 512mb card will enable u to save around 300 songs contrary to players dat supports only mp3/aac dat wl give u only about 120-150 tracks in a 512mb card/stick, WMA is not so widely used so as eAAC+ d purpose of this is to save precious SPACE!
3. 3250 has a better battery life (a little only)

yes stereo widening is very useful in 3250 coz it makes d sound quality better and cleaner!

need help!!!
my nokia 3250 is rather new ... just around 2 weeks old... but recently it has becoming unbearably laggy... esp after sending a message frm which it takes around 20 to 30secs to return to the standby page... i haven uploaded anything into the phone cept for a few mp3s and the message box and stuff are all empty, but the lag continues... i din download or accept any programs into the phone either... nid help solving the lag !!!
another con of the phone is, no countdown timer... anyone knows where i can get a countdown timer application free?
lastly, a major disadvantage is the lack of a flash option... other than all these, it's quite a decent phone... =/
