Any one know how to get the onscreen balance in this handset? I am not able to get my balance talktime by dialing the key combinations (eg. *123#), which i was able to get in other handsets.

Plz help.

    hamed:

try this, go to tools > app manager > options > settings > software installation then make sure "signed only" is NOT selected. u can either select "#on" or "all" depending on ur firmware...

    dw2:

unfortunately 3250 does not hav auto-keypad lock (let's juz wait for d auto-keypad program to be updated). u may also want to try "auto lock period" follow this (in case u haven't tried) it works like auto-keypad lock only difference is u need to key in ur passcode each time u unlock. go to: tools > settings > security > phone and sim > auto lock period.

    sukiyaki:

yes its true 3250 is not 3G. it plays mpeg4, 3gp, real video 7/8/9/10 (in almost full screen landscape mode [small bars on top and bottom])!

For my opinion, this cellphone companies will not really create a magnifecently completely perfect phone. If they do, we will not buy a new one anymore.
Every phone has its own advantage and disadvantage. 3250 is for music. Yes its true. This phone is less expensive also, unlike the phones of the N series. I can say it is satisfying. It runs fast compared to other phones and user-friendly. For the camera thing, maybe its best to buy a digital video camera.

                TRex:
stop pretending bcoz there's no point of DENYING that "Bugboy", "Arj" and "TRex" are ONE d same person! stop fooling around coz juz take a look at all of ur posts (on d left from ur posted names on W810 forum and in here) it says "PSvA"! also, u don't judge and make final conclusions on a product just by reading so called "reviews" found on internet bcoz there r many BIASED and UNFAIR reviewers out there who tests UNFINALIZED and OLD firmwares and says very UNFAIR and somewhat TENTATIVE conclusions due to d tested firmware! juz test d product in REALITY so u can ULTIMATELY say this and that and not just by HEARSAY! of course not every1 likes 3250 and i accept that, what i CANNOT accept is d FACT that a fellow like u needs to PRETEND to be "Bugboy", "Arj" and "TRex" juz to make every1 believe those posts really came from different persons but actually its coming from d same in ONE person ONLY!

I bought 3250 4 days ago, and all i can say is... WOW excellent music phone! walkman phones like W800 which i have has no match in terms of sound quality on loudspeaker. When it comes to the delivered earphones W800 versus 3250, more or less they have the same quality, i can't believe bcoz i thought nokia can't make a real music phone but now WOW they really can do it! the battery is excellent it lasting me about 4 days! the best thing i like about 3250 is d ability to search for tracks by entering the first letters and also the M4a or eAAC+ codec its excellent, small size but great quality! i highly recommend 3250! great job nokia!

                                19:
W900 has great sound quality and camera quality and excellent 30 fps QVGA video capture and playback but as u said u r used to 6600 OS so i think W900 is not for you and besides W900 can't accept symbian games/apps and chances r there r not that many themes available for it. not to mention its 3G capabilities! take note, its kinda bulky!

N70 has flash with many compatible symbian apps/games, great video capture, mediocre sound quality in loudspeaker and inbox earphone and its kinda slow in performance but it is 3G capable.

3250 has excellent loudspeaker quality and loudness and great inbox earphone quality too with great music management plus it supports more music formats like WMA and eAAC+ (in eAAC+ 1 full track is approx 1.6mb and u'll hardly hear d difference in quality between audio files encoded by 128 kbps in AAC/MP3 format vs. eAAC+ encoded by 48kbps!) dat means a 512 mb card (dat comes with 3250 if u live in d philippines, dubai) u can fit in around 300-350 songs! in MP3/AAC u'll get about 130-150 songs only in 512mb memory! not to mention its dedicated music keys, also u can search 'ala phonebook' on d music library and even categorize ur library by artist, genre, composer, playlist, etc! in still image quality, 3250 is kinda on d middle of good and great quality, same with video capture. but remember since 3250 is under OS 9.1 symbian there r only few freeware apps available currently and soon games will be available, on d other hand thousands of themes r updated to work with 3250 now. all we need to do is wait around 2-3 months more b4 old programs/games/themes r updated to enable em to work with 3250! with that drawback of incompatibiliy, d main reason is bcoz performance of 3250 is quite fast its about 75% faster than 6600 in every aspect of operation (e.g. opening msgs, pics, browsing pages, etc) its one d fastest S60 phones released by nokia to date (3250 owners can confirm that for sure)! 3250 is not 3G. also, it has no flash on d camera and there s no infrared port.

in d end its still up to u, what r ur preferences are... since u said u need good sound quality and good camera i'd suggest 3250 for you! : )

but if you love 3G services, get N70 or W900.
