motorola d no. 2 in the market EVEN needs to roughly DOUBLE its share to achieve nokia's share! clearly nokia is still d market LEADER! for those who are misleading other fellas, pls post some links to prove ur BASELESS comments, OK?? and not by just saying this and that blah blah without any PROOF!

ok, i maybe wrong about transferring txt msgs into mem stick in W810 (but i'll double check) but wat i meant in one of my previous posts was:
"can W810 save more than 1 number in a field under a name (e.g. 3 office nos, 2 home nos) in one name??"
example of a field under a name is 'mobile no', 'fax no', 'office no' etc, so what i meant there was can u save 3 office nos and 2 home nos under (if i may say) d name "Arj" and NOT by saving another name "Arj2" or "Arj home1", "Arjhome2", "ArjMobile1", "ArjMobile2" and d like. i hope that clears it up.. seriously can W810 do that? fine W810 beats 3250 in ur opinion and i respect u bcoz u said it quite fairly "boils down to wat u prefer" on d contrary, i'll say this, for me 3250 has OVERALL better Musicphone + Phone + Camera + Smartphone features + Battery life + transfer speeds + supported formats + customization + flexibility + compatibility with networks and downloads! anyways, glad to hear ur NOYPI too! : ) peace out!

hey vipy...wasssup ?? I just wanted to know if we could get rid of the icons i.e phonebook,messages,gallery etc on the handset when on standby mode and have just the theme on front screen minus icons.

I work for Nokia. I would like to point out a few things. 1, the UI on this phone has been greatly researched as they found some people prefer to have the centre key as the menu and the selection function (They are a mulit billion £ company, so I htink they know what their doing!!) 2, the design of the handset is to cater for several markets, ie camera user music user, and make those functions easily avaliable, rather than having to traul through the menu's. Also, with reguards to shrinking market share, Nokia has risen 48% from this time last year! I suggest you do some reasrech before voicing your half formed opinions!

seriously Nokia's UI is getting worse..everyone can see..they are changing the menu key from the famous left soft key and now to the center key..its obviously copying motorola or even SE...and the menu they offer now is in grid style when the icons are so ugly..i don get a sense of belonging though.
anyway i jus wanna tell pple that i think that nokia is really losing out a lot..their music mode is so dead that it looks like a brandless mp3 player and the camera is easily beaten by many other phones.but still there are a few "winning points" for nokia, its a well known brand for most of the older pple (aka working pple) maybe because of the 3310, and therefore most of the pple trust them more?? its the 21st century already when the 3310 age is long over.. ;) thats wat i think la..no offence :)

Im willing to bet. Nokia's market share is already shrinking. The 3250 will flop like the NGage and their previous music phone, 33sumthin. Nokia should just concentrate on their disposable, toy-like mobile phones coz in music and camera, they are all beat by Motorola, SE and Samsung. I can still remember a few years ago, they declared that they will never make clamshell phones, but look at them now. The market forces have changed. The only thing going for them is their overrated brandname. People perceive Nokia phones are the best, but if u really check, their quality sucks. Only gullible people will be swayed by their marketing.

Let me put to rest all the noise about Nokia Vs SE. I think and what I think is widely accepted, no other phone than Nokia gives you a sense of belonging. The features and standards will vary with model and price but it is this pride of possessing a Nokia phone is what the differentiating factor. And with a little commonsense anybody can prove this by the whopping market share Nokia enjoys. Another thing is this that somehow other manufacturers are not able to maintain a level of consistency in the user interface of their phones. This shows they are always confused so as what will appeal the users best. Whereas Nokia phones have a certain uniformity in all their models which keeps a Nokia user stuck to Nokia and so the market share. Nokia has given Symbian to the world which testifies that they are a bunch innovating 24x7 for the users. No wonder a small company from Finland not known in anyother product is CocaCola of the Mobile industry. Others including Sony and Seimens are forced to join hands with other giants like Ericsson and Benq, but for no avail. Their scoresheet before Nokia remains dismal no matter they are trying hard with their flourescent colours and secondary brands like Walkman. All those who have any doubt about 3250 just wait a couple of months. They will be utterly disappointed that all these W800, W810, W950 blah blah will be outnumbered by 100 to 1 by this Nokia 3250 they are so brisk in writing off. Anybody worth his SE betting his cell with me.

Night mode is useless. This phone does not even have flashlight...sheesh! Plus, if you want to go to music mode, you have to twist the phone 180 degrees. Unlike the W810, you just have to press a button. Moving parts in phones tend to not last long... Read reviews first before buying. You'll see...

You're right, I dont own a 3250. That's coz i never even considered buying one. But i was able to fiddle with it in the nokia centers here in RP (i know ur Pinoy too). I guess it all boils down to what you prefer more. And please dont mislead people by saying that you cannot transfer messages to the memory card of the W810i and you cannot store more than 1 phone # in the phonebook, coz u can. You probably just don't know how to do it since you're used to Nokia phones. As far as bugs are concerned, not all units have this and these can all be fixed by SW upgrades w/c can be done over the air. And Im sure the 3250 has bugs of its own too. I've nothing against the 3250, i like it too, its just that I prefer the W810i over it. I am also a Nokia (Ngage QD) owner and I'm happy with it. I just call things as it is, in this case, imho, W810i beats 3250. Now, if it were the N91, well, that's a different thing...

hey i'd like to ask if nokia3250 has night mode since it hasn't got a flash that makes the 2.0mp camera useless in the night right? i've heard that it's a great phone but i didn't hear anything about night mode and those stuff.. thx for answering
