@chacha
Going by your need,
1. Good display. Both phones have 256k colour with 176/208 pixel and same size screen.
2. Browser. I didn't get to use my n70 browser before the phone packed up, but 3250 browser is excellent for wap and you install an equally excellent web browser.
3. Sound of high quality. 3250 wins. Sound is loud and does not distort at the maximum level. in my opinion, it beats n70 hands down.
4. Video. nokia 3250 wins.
Other features include: upgraded symbian version 9.1 in 3250 compared with version 8.1 of n70. This version is really fast and has less hang up problems. The twisting keypad is really a "head turner" for the opposite sex if you know what i mean. 3250 uses micro SD memory card while n70 uses outdated RS-DV-MMC card and you can go up to 2Gb storage for your lovely music and favourite films.
I think i'll go for 3250 if i were you.

3250 is marginally louder than 5700 but 5700 sound clarity is by far better with more music options which includes album art etc.

@febin
YES it does.

@ watela, sirrom and all those people who want to upgrade their firmware ver to 4.14.
Ok. Now first of all you need to backup your phone mem before you do anything. (Normally nothing happens to the phone mem or any other of your settings during an update, but just in case, you should back it up. Now you can do that in the following ways:
1) Go to the "Memory" application in the phone. Go to options, and select "Backup phone mem". This way your phone mem will be backed up on the mem card. After updating you can come back here and select restore phone mem (in case data is lost).
2) Or, you can connect your cell to the Nokia PC Suite via cable or bluetooth. Then open the PC Suite. Get the lastest PC Suite from this link if you don't already have it. http://mea.nokia.com/A4346277. Follow the instructions, download and install it. I hope you guys can do that much :-)
Ok now open the PC Suite and select "Backup". Follow instructions to backup. To restore, come back to this option after updating in vase of data loss. Remember normally nothing happens to phone mem. This is just to be on the safe side. Better safe than sorry right?
Ok now you have to download the Nokia Software Updater (NSU). Get the lastest version of NSU from this link http://mea.nokia.com/A4346318. Follow the instructions to download and install it.
Ok now your ready to update to 4.14. connect your fully charged phone to the computer via a cable. Cable is recommended since its faster than bluetooth. Anyway, connect it and open the Nokia Software Updater. Now follow the instructions it gives and you'll have firmware 4.14 soon.
GOOD LUCK!!! :-)

@sirrom
I had the 4.14 version before i sold my 3250 and upgraded to 5700. However i had no problem connecting the phone with PC Suite.
Have you tried the Get Connected wizard? First uninstall and re install the PC suite. Without connecting your phone, open the PC suite then click the Get Connected button in the PC suite and follow the instructions. This may help solve this problem of your phone not being recognised by PC suite.
If this is successful, then use the PC suite to upgrade your firmware.
If you already tried this and not working, then maybe we should ask viperkid for help

@ watela, sirrom and all those people who want to upgrade to firmware ver 4.14
ok people. first of all you need to backup all your data in the phone memory (just in case something goes wrong. normally nothing is deleted and none of ur settings are changed after updating, but just in case). you could do that by the following ways:
1) go to the application "memory" in the phone. go to options, and select "backup phone mem"
2) connect ur cell to the computer. in nokia pc suite, select backup. get the lastest version of nokia pc suite from http://europe.nokia.com/A4144905. then follow the instructions, download n install. i hope you can do that much :)
next u need to get the nokia software updater(NSU). get it from http://europe.nokia.com/link?cid=PLAIN_TEXT_14905. download and install by following the instructions.
ok now ur ready to update. connect ur cell to the pc via a data cable or bluetooth.the (NSU) will pick up ur cell automatically after u open the NSU. then you can follow the instructions again and update ur firmware... :-)
GOOD LUCK!!!
