Hey viperkid, thanks! Going by the step by step instrution given at your site, i gained 100Mb after converting some songs in my phone and the music quality still good. Yet to compare and see if any noticable difference from original mp3. But all in all, the quality is acceptable

@ Sirrom,
compresion of audio music isnt any difficult matter.
dnt think that music match or nokia music manager is the only solutions. Rather, you have to remember that there are tons of music soft are present in the world to do ur job :-D
wt evr, i use jet audio to compres music. I like it,because here u cn convert any kinda important formate.
even though,i like the nokia music manager as well!
bt,sirrom,u hv to remem that with compression you are pulling down the quality of music. So, decision is yours. I use 1gb micro sd mem! Dnt compres song,if needD convert to aac by nokia music manager!
hop,these informations will help you. If any more quary,feel free to ask it at our forum.

Good to see you back on this nforum viperkid. Thanks for Mobigenie app and Frozen Bobble game we got at your site. How does one make comment and say thanks at your site.
I will try the conversion to eAAC+ format to see what happens. I previously converted some mp3s to AAC format but to my surprise, they turned out to be marginally bigger than the original mp3s.

Thanks for coming back to this forum viperkid and thanks for the Mobigenie app and the Frozen Booble game at your site. they are really useful. I wonder how we can make comment and say thanks at your site.
I'll try convert all my mp3 to eAAC+ format and see how much space i save. I tried it with AAC format and the size of each music actually increased marginally instead of reducing.

Sirrom,
Yes, you can convert your mp3 files to M4A(+eACC)mobile optimized format. with this you can turn a 4mb sized mp3 to more or less 1mb. Use your nokia music manager for this conversion. the only thing that differs from the method I've done compare to Viperkid is that i used musicmatch for just reducing the size of of mp3, using mp3 VBR to 1%, not converting mp3's to WMA.. Its you're choice what method you think is easier..

@Dr Adedoyin
i read on this forum that you can compress the files to eacc+ and double or even triple the space. i also saw either in this fourm or on the nokia site(europe or asia)that a 2gig can hold 1500 songs so i assume that a 1gig will be around 750 songs and in the forum people say they have 900 songs so i wanna know if its true and if so what do i need to do. with only 15mg left i cant do much and i got games, software and themes to put on. also got video stuff to deal with too.
Need info
thanks again Doc.

@sirrom
I don't know if its possible to compress the music. I don't think its possible. They are all mp3 music format which is already compacted for mobile use. What i think is that you go for 2Gb memory card. I think 3250 can take 2Gb though i've not tried it myself. You said you have only 222 songs in your phone. Thats a lot of songs my dear. Alternative is to delete those not very useful to you. If you must upgrade to 2Gb i suggest you buy sandisk brand or original nokia brand micro SD.
Maybe sarja can help say something on this matter.

i have a 1 gig card in my phone and i put music files mp3s that were downloaded from kazaa. i did this thru the pcsuite and was prompted asking if i wanted to optimize space on the memory card with the transfer. i said no just to see how it works and how many songs i could put on. now that i have gotten themes, pictures and music videos i am thinking of compressing the media. my memory card details are as follows.
capacity. 969mb
used. 955mb
free. 13mb
6 KB messages
8916 KB images
789 MB SOUND FILES
59 MB VIDEO CLIPS
how can i compress the sound files to get more space. i only have 222 sounds. can someone guide me thru the process and can it be done outside of using pcsuite and just using data transfer.
HELP ME. Dr Adedoyin or anyone.
Ps. thanks for all previous help and the quick responce time.

@sirrom
I have started suspecting the firmware has something to do with it. My firmware is 4.14 and produced in Feb. 2007. I bought it 1st June 2007. Funny enough the packet that contains it show the white/red phone and the user manual also show same white/red with expressmusic written.But my phone is black. It came with 1Gb memory card. Maybe version 4.14 cannot install certain type of themes. If this is the case then i advice not to upgrade till you are sure about what the advantages/disadvantages of the version 4.14.
-----------------
About the settings, it depends on what settings. If gprs, then your service provider should be able to configure for you. If email settings, same should apply but some do not have email services and you have to set up POP account with email providers. Some are free like gmail, but most are on subscription. I tried to go thuough nokia advanced setting to help configure my 3250 for my gmail POP account but got nowhere though it works well with my samsung D900.

i have the express edition red and white i wonder if that has anything to do with it. my firmware is 3.23 also and i have had trouble getting the new firmware 4.14. the system wasn't recognising my phone and then the computer bugged out. that was three weeeks ago so i will check this weekend. the cpu is back up and running.
on another note i am from barbados in the caribbean and i bought this phone unlocked. my older phone nokia6060 was set up with internet thru my provider digicel but know that i switched i get the updates but can't get on because i don't have the settings. i called and they told me to bring it in but i am reluctant because they may want to lock my phone to their network. they sell the n73 which has the same data setup as the 3250 so i was wondering if the settings is different from model to model or is it dependant on the classification of the phones capabilities. does anybody know of any settings i can try out.
Help Dr Adedoyin or anybody

Happy to know things are working well with your theme installation now. But you know one thing, i've not been able to install ANY theme from ownskin.com no matter how i try and other ppl are able to do this. I install from other sites without problem. I wonder why this is so.

@Sameer hassan
Its easy to do sameer, after you connect your phone in data transfer mode, it will appear in My Computer on your PC as another drive (memory card or whatever name you give your memory card). Double click on this and you will see many folders such as images, documents, video, Sounds, Other, etc. Open Other folder then copy the themes or whatever you want to install into this folder. You can then disconnect your phone. When you are ready to install, open Menu>Organiser>file manager, then move joystick to right to get to memory card. Then scroll down to other and open it. The things you want to install should be there. Click on them one by one to install.
Cheers
