u can upgrade ur firmware using NSU (nokia software updater). u can download it here:

after downloading and installin NSU in ur PC, updating process will roughly take u 5-8 hours if u hav a dial up connection coz d file dat NSU will download is about 60MB++, also take note dat u must hav a fully charge battery or better yet charge ur phone wyl u r updating d firmware plus place ur 3250 where no one myt accidentally move it wyl updating which may cause d USB cable to b disconnected.. also backup ur data in d phone memory using nokia pc suite juz to b sure (but as far as my experience tells me, 3 times i upgraded but no single file was deleted). ur PC must hav at least 256MB free RAM (i tried upgrading mine with a Pentium II 350 mhz, it works, no probs at all, provided d PC has 256mb free RAM) good luck! =)

ps: i have dialup internet only
cant i download the firmware and then install it ? what to do ?

i want to ask somthing about 3250:
1- how can i know which firmware version that 3250 have?
2- someone said to me that the 3250 does not have FLASH is that right cuz i saw a FLASH program in severel 3250 Mobiles?
3- which better firmware version for 3250 3.18 OR 3.24

hey im having prob with my fone .... i just bought it .. of course in greenhills just 2 wks ago and now there seems to be a prob - no mem card available eventhough it is inserted ... i tried changing the sms options to mem but to no effect. HELPPPPPPPpp

What about 3d affect speakers guys ? Can this phone compete with 6270? I have 6270 and the sound is really great. I am Looking for a phone with same kind of Sound. But no luck yet. please suggest... Cheers

I dnt knw how u can say this phone is "peerless" when fones lyk the N91 MUSIC EDITION, SE W900 and N73 MUSIC EDITION are way beta than it! the SE W900 can take up to 8gb memory cards which makes it rival N91-ME, the 3250 is nt a heavy weight wen it comes to being a music phone, its main rival must be the SE W810 or the Motorola E2 ROKR, 3250 aint bad but its surpassd by the N91 and SE W900

This phone is peerless and if u don't have it,u must be missing a lot than u ever thought.It supports 2gb of memory card and critics have it said the phone has small fonts.Oh yea but upgrade it a firmware and u make detractors eats their own words.Simply put,IT IS A MUST HAVE......Ghana.

I have upgraded my firware from 3.23 to 4.14 yesterday. There was a real improvment in the total phone performance.1st - it became faster (realy fast), 2nd - the fonts in the sms are bold (by default. That's not of any importance to me, 'couse I installed in the phone other fonts from those the PC uses). I didn't notice any decrease of a volume, but the sound of the music player became a kind of sharper, that is 3d. 4th - the white ballance in camera starts working. I had no problems of sending sms or other stuff before,so i dont have them and now. The only thing that troubles me now is joistik. The opposite problems to Sony Ericcson,where you can't get a contact(seems like it's not working), in my 3250 it sticks to the side you push it, and the pointer on the dispay runs as if i am holding the joystik. That sucks! but the phone is great!
