This is a phone that has a twin, the 3310. It is also the same more than the moving screen saver, bumper game and wap. That's all the difference. I prefer not to buy this phone when you had already 3310! Just buy 3350!!! This is a JUNK

Hi. I'm from South Africa and I got this phone coz it was free on contract with accessories and chose it over paying a difference for the Motorola V.60, Nokia 8890 or 6210 and over the free V.50, T191 and Ericsson T28 World because of its claimed features and because my sister has a perfectly working 3310. BIG MISTAKE.
Firstly some [few] good points: You get 100 name storage on the phone itself (although this is tiny compared with some SIM cards offering 250-400 names), 8 spaces for ringtones, assigning ringtones per person, voice dialling (though most phones now have this).
The battery life is woefully inadequate. This may be good for a "pre-paid"-SMS-Junkie-teen, but for the rest of the world who actually needs to use it as a phone [TO SPEAK!] I cannot recommend it. It never reaches near the claimed battery life on standby or talktime. Even if it had to sit idle, I estimate about two days standby max. Even my retired 5110 and 8110 [Matrix Phone] has better battery life than this. Sometimes on a full charge it just beeps thrice and cuts the call!
Reception is TERRIBLE. I travel about 75KM up to Durban quite frequently and it loses signal totally where my 5110 picks up a full 5 bars. Seriously - I checked.
What is the deal with the games [not that you'd want to play any - cept maybe snake II]? Has anyone else noticed that Snake II on the 3330 is WAY slower than on the 3310 and 7110? Come to think of it, the whole phone doesn't seem particularly stable software wise. [I have: V04.30 20-08-01 NHM6] Using shortcut keys sometimes leads to you sticking to a screen for 2-4 seconds. Once the whole phone locked up and I had to remove the battery to restart it!
On mine, I only managed to successfully connect to WAP 3 times. The games are just fillers as are most of the "features". Screensavers: Ha! They don't save your screen - don't conserve battery life and don't look that good anyway. What ever happened to those old-school reliable yet cutting edge Nokias of the past that didn't need gimmicks to sell well? Do not be fooled by a few animated menu options and looks - this is NOT a good phone to use as a PHONE .
I'm sorry to disappoint those who think this is a good phone - its just a gadget for kids - if you really like the style I think you should get a 3310 with a W.I.G. 32K SIM card for WAP - It's the only thing missing from the 3310 - while there is a considerable difference in price (about R400 if you buy it here in SA). Owning a 3330 has not been a good experience and has tainted my view of Nokia as being the best cellphone maker. I've since traded it in and got a Siemans S45 which is better when actually being used as a phone.
