Nokia,... moreWhat are you talking about? They are not trying to make a flagship at this price point, it's an entry level phone for western markets. Why would they put a flagship SoC on it? That would mean it was in a higher price segment.
Entry level phones have lower-spec SoCs, that is the entire reason they can be priced as entry level phones.

Another Mediatek mobile another failure for Nokia.
Nokia, even when you try to give good hardware & stock android there is no use as the processor is poor. Just to keep the cost low you are releasing a product that will definitely not going to satisfy the customers.
I admire Nokia but Please STOP using Mediatek processors in your devices.

I was attracted by the stock Android and the price but it threw me off the battery. However, I never used a low-budget phone with more than 1800mAh lol but they hadn't had more than 4'5 inches.

Does anyone know if the Nokia 3.1 support Chromecast? I am asking because of the Mediatek processor. Last years Nokia 3 did not support Chromecast.

glad this one got mtk and not sd. heat problem in most of sd is actually one thing that turn me off.

Do you even understand under what situations a better "soc" is needed?. Do you even know what soc is? Cause it ain't the cpu. That's for sure. I know you don't so before asking for better "socks" learn what socket cpu mhz binary bits are.

Lee, 12 Jun 2018Atleast using soc p22,23,25.Totally agree. Even a Helio P20 would have sufficed. Oh well, a missed opportunity for Nokia. I guess the only way to get a relatively compact phone is to buy the Sony compact flagship. A decent compact midrange is as non-existent as unicorns, apparently.

No finger print scanner on this device, & when is Nokia 4 coming out??? Just curious though with this pace, although Nokia has done a nice job since last year(2017).....Let me know y'all 👍👍
