AnonD-963123, 28 Feb 2021HMD Global needs to step up their game! Otherwise they will... moreSo the February update for the Nokia 3.4 and 5.4 made the devices much better in day to day operations but there are still a lot of bugs.

Like the touch responsiveness lags every now and then. Switching on the flashlight from the lock screen doesn't do anything. Recent apps don't respond to the clear all functions. The launcher itself needs an overhaul.

Also, the camera apps on both need a lot of optimization to compete with the likes of Xiaomi and Samsung in the same price brackets. Just installing GCAM on both show the hardware has capability to shine more. Being let down by the camera app and computational photography being used as of now.

There is a lot of potential and I see HMD trying to fix issues as well which is a good thing! Would love to see them grow and deliver more!

KabirSachdev, 08 Mar 2021The competition smartphones offers bigger batteries, faster... morebut Nokia offers better build quality, much better software support, no bloatware so it's snappy even with a lesser chip and no nag ware so no unwanted ads, also a phone that lasts for several years instead of 1,5-2 at most. It's just what one prefers and he shall make his or hers own choice.

Got the phone today no regrets it's a great value. I like Nokia commitment to software updates and also the device it self's feels durable like it's made to last.

Had it one day - not getting anywhere - can't get desktop - continually going to Google which I do not want on my phone....have absolutely no need for it - would like to disable it...will have to see the technician again which is a nuisance as I live in the country. I had hoped I could find a manual on line as I am dumb technicologically.............

Steve, 02 Mar 2021Why are new Nokia budget phones so "heavy"? Aroun... moreProbably due to a bigger battery, larger display and more camera sensors. It all adds in the total weight.

Why are new Nokia budget phones so "heavy"? Around 180g.
The Nokia 5.1 is only 160g.

The Nokia 3.4 has an extraordinary price performance ratio. I have been using the 4GB RAM version for one week. It is tremendously quick. (It is even possible to increase the speed in the phone developer settings). The Snapdragon 460 with four Cortex-A73 cores is almost equal to the Snapdragon 665 and is more energy efficient. The 3.4 has a high-quality touch and very good build quality with a metal frame. The 4000 mAh battery lasts for 3 days thanks to clean stock Android. It supports Qualcomm Quick Charge with older Nokia chargers. However, the included charger is useless as it does not support Quick Charge. Call quality is impeccable. Supports VoLTE and Wifi Calling. Due to being part of the Android-One program the phone gets monthly security updates for 3 years what certifies it for normal business use. I have the February security patch, so up to date. The triple camera is surprisingly good. Of course, it cannot replace a DSLR. Contrary to notebookcheck’s conclusion of heating under load, my phone always remained cool. Nokia probably solved that with an update in January. In summary, I can really recommend it for everyone who wants a chic performance smartphone without spending a significant amount. It is definitively worth the money (EUR 139 for 4GB RAM version on Amz).

HMD Global needs to step up their game! Otherwise they will kill the Nokia brand for good. The initial days of Nokia devices were really promising. Elegant devices and amazing software experiences! Nokia 6 and 7 Plus were big sellers cause of that.

They used better materials and good software support to begin with. With every new phone being launched the focus has shifted in my opinion. Nokia 3.4 and 5.4 are almost identical devices. Both suffering from the same software issues. Quality control is no where to be found.

Highly disappointed by how they are destroying the Nokia brand we love so much! I don't understand how even Google is okay with crippled devices and awful software. Android One is meant to be top notch. How are these devices even approved looking at the market competition! Unbelievable to say the least!

I really want them to succeed but looking at the current trend, they are not going to survive for long! Please prove us wrong!

Sometimes my earpiece doesn't sound normal when received incoming calls and don't know why.please help me
