To those who complain about this device: nothing in this world is perfect, of course this phone will have some minor problems but overall this is really good phone for the money. In this price category you'll struggle to find such a beautiful and great feeling device like this. If you want device without any problems, buy phone that is double or triple of the Nokia 5 price. Even then, I doubt that it is going to be ideal. As I said - nothing is fully perfect for eveyone, find perfection in your inperfect device..

Worst phone I have ever been in possession of. The number of major problems and irritating smaller things will be too long, so will just mention few things which make using this phone a constant headache:
Not sure if that's a feature of every Nokia 5 or just problem with my particular phone, but it doesn't really let you use memory cards. Technically it does, but only allows 2 options - either use it for apps storage or for pictures. In first case the camera stops working, saying that it didn't find the memory, in second case the camera often fails to save pictures. Have tried 3 different cards, 2 of them successfully used in other phones. Same result.
Also no matter if you use memory card or not, copying anything from your PC to this phone is almost a hopeless venture. In most cases it fails, in rare cases it tries, but that takes forever.
Another big headache is very weak battery combined with super easy switching ON/OFF button and touch sensor thanks to which this phone more that just often switches itself on while in my pocket/bag or anywhere at all. And there is no possible software option to block it/ avoid this problem, protective case didn't help also. But even without it, its battery life is usually not enough till the end of working day. By the time I get home battery is usually empty, and that's without playing games, listening to music and watching videos, well, almost without calls even. Just a few whatsapp messages, checking email and social media and reading for a book for half an hour or so is too much for this phone.
Well, here is already too many letters so will not mention problems with sound, absence of many useful features available at most other phones and some connectivity problems.
What is good though, is the design and speed. Camera is quite ok also.
Oh, should also mention that all of the sudden started to have problems with touchscreen. First started to experience some no response moments when pressing on some parts of the screen, few days later it almost stopped behaving properly. Maybe this was a final drop to write this reference. First in my life.

Ivan, 23 Oct 2017this one or huawei p9 lite mini?Buy Nokia 5, coz you will have always latest security patches and you will get Android 8.0 Oreo till the end of this year. Next year you will get Android 9.0 coz HMD the producer of Nokia phones promised.

The phone is very nicely crafted with a good built quality.
Even, the phone is worth for money compared to other competitors in the market.

Some of the people like lite phones...but since nokia 5 is full matalic body..i personally like bit heavy phones..it feels premium.

The problems you describe are exactly the same main issues i had with sony and sammy top of the line phones. This cost almost 4x less and is no worse, i say thats great man, looking forward to receive mine, its already paid for and will ship monday.

I just ordered a silver one. I take notice of the many complaints here but i dont see anything that isnt to be expected on android phones, and i never set up android phones with an account or install apps on them since android isnt suitable for such use anyway, thats what my FruitPhone is for. I think i will be happy with this one for my foreign additional sim, more so than my last LG K5 (poor display resolution/contrast and unsatisfying camera)
