Let me some put some details about my device so you... moreyeah bro, it is also happening in my phone, i charge the device and after 20mins.of charging, it starts heating, both the charger and the device, and when the charging is near to finish, (lets say 1hr.before full) the heating problem slowly turning down both the device and the charger.

Fm radio on Nokia 5 is not OK, noisy audio sound and sound cannot be routed to the speakerphone, only the headset ok. And Google play equaliser is not opening, audio very low and volume control is not controlling the audio sound, when press, indicator shows call sign instead of speaker sign. Please advice.

Google play is not working fine ,the music sound is not loud and the volume control is not controlling the sound. Secondly, the FM radio , the sound cannot be routed to speakerphone and only the headset working but noisy . I bought this phone, Nokia 5 yesterday August 8 2017 in Nigeria . I need your help.

when i bought it, it already had 37 apps installed (i was unable to uninstall any of them). At that time the device showed in Settings page,
Storage - 7.68 GB of 16.00 GB used
Memory - Avg 1.1 GB of 1.8 GB memory used
then what i did was reset the phone (factory reset) and then i installed all the system updates i got. i got 3 updates. The latest i got is the 2017 August 1 security patch (today morning )
Then I installed 12 apps from google play store and now my device has 49 apps. I also disabled 18 pre installed apps on the device. Now the settings page shows,
Storage - 8.58 GB of 16.00 GB used
Memory - 1.3 GB of 1.8 GB memory used
As you can see my Storage has reduced because of the all the apps I installed and the Memory which is the Ram is reduced because of all the background processing of the apps I installed.
I have not inserted any SD card. I don't even know my SD card slot works or not. lets hope it works . LOL.....
I think you are confused about the Storage and the Memory (Ram). If you download apps they will be saved on the storage (in internal storage or in the SD card). so it will reduce your Storage space. (internal or SD). But as far as I know just installing the apps will not reduce your RAM as long as you don't run them (in theory). Most of the apps are running their background processes and that's why we see some decrease of the RAM after we install them (without even running them).
So in my opinion it doesn't matter where your apps are saved. I mean in the internal storage or in the SD card. They will take the same amount of RAM to run their processes. (Anyone can correct me if i am wrong).
If your problem is that the RAM keeps reducing it cant be solved by moving apps to SD card. You can try to kill your unwanted background processes using an app like clean master or any other booster app.
Disable the unwanted apps too......

P.S.
My concern about the device so far is the heat. specially while charging, no matter if the phone is on or off it's temperature goes high while charging .... Does that happen on your device too ?

The internal storage is generally faster than your SD card read/write speed. so setting the SD card as your internal storage may rather slower the app installation/ copy-paste speed.

Just posting this to share my... morehey sir, i have this phone too but im having a problem on it. i formatted my SD card as internal storage and i moved apps that i have download to sd card, i was expecting that the RAM would increase after i moved them but it didn't, i disabled the unnecessary apps but still my RAM is keep on draining..somebody suggested that i should set my sd card as portable storage, would it increase my RAM if i do so?

No network slection option like: 3G only. the network selection mode is auto. so when the network is down ot automatically selected as 2G. its very annoying for me. Is there any solution?

I bought a Nokia 5 yesterday. Just posting this to share my first impressions. The phone looks really nice. I love the design. So far it works great and smoothly ( it's only a day though).
LED notification is not there... When I charged it for the first time it took about 130 minutes to reach 100% from 6%.( oh the phone was turned off while charging).Also it got a bit heated and I don't think it was a problem. Because I think it happens with many phones out there. For me battery is not draining fast. So it's fine..
When I turned on WiFi for the first time it connected to my WiFi with no troubles and works great. While using WiFi phone also getting a bit of heat. But again I don't think it's a problem because my old Sony mobile works the same way and it also working great so far ( for 4 years now) . I will have to use the phone more to see if the heating is a problem. ( I really hope it's Not a problem. I think because of the metal body we feel the heat a bit more than the phones with plastic back)
To be honest I am a bit disappointed with both the cameras. It looks like my Xperia p 8 mp camera is better than the Nokia 5 13 mp rear camera... Also with the flash, photos are not that great.....
One important thing is that when I bought the phone it showed me the security patch it had was 2017 April 1 .
And after connecting to WiFi just within a minute or two it showed me system update was available which was 2017 June One. After I updated to it successfully then it showed there is another system update available which was the 2017 July security patch. I updated to it with no troubles too. So I guess HMD is really giving monthly updates as they said they would.
Speaker sound is great and very clear. With hands-free sound is Nice too. But the volume level is not that high, but it's more than enough.
When I bought phone had 37 apps installed and not any of the can be uninstalled. I disabled the ones I don't use though.
Overall I like the phone.
I hope this helps to some people who are thinking of buying the phone. ... This is the second day with the phone so I might change my opinions in future.. Let's see how it goes..... Cheers guys.....

Got Nokia 5 six days ago had problem with the SD card reader the phone was eventually replaced and is working fine, for it price the Nokia 5 is a good phone.

I would give 7.5/10 rating. If Nokia could do live image processing in camera viewfinder, it would be great.. Scenes look soft in viewfinder, but after capture,the photos look great with alot of details.. this is not good, especially social media like instagram,facebook,whatsapp and snapchat can ONLY use viewfinder in camera apps, thus no image processing like stock camera, image look soft n blurry :( but look great in stock camera after image processing.
