Really disappointed with the delay of the Nokia 5 in the UK to August. It has meant that I have had to look at other phones now.....Nokia sale missed.

Xiaomi is partnering with Nokia to use Nokia's patents related to 2G, 3G, 4G so that Xiaomi can expand its business to western markets in 2018.

I have tried again running few apps in background, seems they are reloading again the apps. So user needs close unused apps regularly as they eat the ram in background. But there no sign of slowliness of phone. Nokia 6 may enough for enjoyable multitasking. For those who is not in urgency wanna new phone, you should better wait for the next android phones by Nokia, partnering with xiaomi and carl zeiss lens. They for sure will built a solid camera and good performance phone and i hope they will pack more ram on upcoming devices coz android needs huge ram as required by nowadays demanding apps. Android system already eats so much. So need more ram for sure for the active multitasking users. If you open 2-4 lite apps it won't be a problem. But if you are playing YouTube videos, scrolling fb, using camera, and browsing some website on google chrome it may reload back the thing u want see after you left it in background.

I'm so happy with i... morei m also on wp10 lumia 640 lte and i want to change to android cause many apps now even in windows-store like Fb ,messenger needs 2 g ram to work properly and with 1g ram 640 have they do not,so they crash more often than old android devices,and also these fact with microsoft that is undefined if they continue to support wp or leave it to die..so i want somethig stable and not chinese os and ui not manufactured there,so i look beetwen these and 6

I'm so happy with it as it is my first Android smartphone (I got android tab which I rarely use it) and it's snappy than i thought. Its fluid and buttery smooth eventho it uses midrange processor. 2gb ram is enough for this phone. I have tested open multiple tab of hefty websites on google chrome, games and few other apps (fb,ig and etc), camera and it working great and the ram management is awesome. It could catch up all of those apps without reloading all again. If this phone is around your budget, i would recommend it, but if you got some extra money throw them to Nokia 6 (you get extra rom and ram and full hd display) . But this nokia 5 for me is enough and i don't want influence your decision. You can make by your own like I did. They have created beautiful firm design and it feels like an iphone on my hands, smooth touching and the antenna bands also looks like an iphone 7. I love it. Btw i also have WP10 and i still keep it. It has work for me for years.

Mi may be giving a good specs. But the built quality is poor. No service centre. Redmi 4a RS 5999 uses snapdragon but it gets heat a lot..when other phones in market like VIVO uses same processor doesn't get heat.. This is due to lack of quality

So my decision falls between p8 lite 2017 and nokia 5 but I can't decide yet because there are no reviews of nokia 5 yet due to the delay of the release.
