help me please.. my 5130 xmusic have a problem it automatically restarts and it functions slowly, sometimes when im txtng it hangs, and it becomes white screen. i already go ask for help but others told me to update the program but i already did upgrade it and its version is 07.96 help me please.

chaitu, 10 Oct 2010between nokia x3 and nokia 5130 XpressMusic which one comes... morehi chaita, nokia x3 is a different segment if u r looking for a cheap music edition fone den offcourse 5130 will come first but if budget is nt a concern and u need camera+music of bst quality den u shd go for x3 , x3 has alomost all same features as 5130 , except for camera and slider ..i wd prefer 5130 as there is a difference Rs2000(US$45)

Help me people ... morehello shreyas ,since dis fone's virtual memory says dat it supports upto 16GB , but it is recommended to use only 2gb memory card,if u go for 4gb card it will work but it will affect the speed of the fone in retrieving data from mem. card ,u may go throw some 'hangs' also ,it will take more time for ur fone to startup!! If there is really so much need(nd speed is nt much concern for u) den only go for 4Gb card , i wd personally not prefer u an 8GB card for this fone..

-BEWARE-
If possible, do not upgrade your firmware above version 6.95. The latest firmwares are bugged! The music player is slow in those versions ( Delayed music playing). Hope this will be fixed on future updates. (Nokia might release an 8.20 version, but who knows?)
I got an 8gig SDcard on my 5130. And I use the KD Player as my music player. It's a Java app and it's faster and drains less battery.

This phone maybe cheap, but it is still the BEST sounding Nokia phone! (Along with 5530)!

Max, 14 Oct 2010I have been using this phone for the past 5 months, last we... moreyeah this is because that theme which u putted had some virus in it , it also happend to my 5130 last week the only way to fix this is to delete all the things stored in ur phone memory or to reinstall the phones software

I have been using this phone for the past 5 months, last week after i applied a theme after some hours it started saying memory not enough update canceled i formated the phone and it still says memory not enough and its memory is 128 kb i dont know where the rest of the mem went please if there is somebody who faced dis problem to help me

Assalamualaikum, this phone is best for music & camera. As the matter of slow proccessing, pals check you did not save anyfile without a folder i mean dont save in ://E folder, dont save java file without any folder, i have tested that if you use to save files in folder you will not be bored with slow function and one think keep phone memory free, before formatting keep a backup of contacts,settings,messages,notes etc because you can get them back after even flashing. Keep it up

Nokia 5130 can use tha 4gb memory card and would proces slowly while updating its musiq library,when ristarting tha 4one it also proceses slowly.*but either way tha 4one is much better than using any other 4one in intention ta using its gprs and its storage system.ba tha way i haven't tried tha 8gb memo.card.

if somebody is planning to take dis fone....drop the idea....it has number of dis advantages...main of which it hangs over..sudden switch off....n display becomes blank suddenly.....
the only good thing is its music output....

In the User Manual it is said that it supports external memory card only up to 2GB but this page says it supports upto 16GB. Please help me about this.

SE W395 is a better option than 5130 in terms of music. Though 5130 can support more external memory, 4 GB(as in W395)is not too small either. There might be some shortcomings on both the models but if you are looking for purely music and a basic 2MP camera, W395 is better. Free up the phone memory as much as you can and hanging problem can get minimal in both the models. Go for W395 !!!

Help me people ... moreshreyas.. yes the nokia 5130 can hold a 8gig micro SD.. my 5130 holds an 8gig memory card.. when starting up the phone, the phone is slow. but after the files were fully loaded after around 3mins, the phones goes back to its normal speed again.. one thing, always save ur files at the memory card. never allow the phone memory to be full, this can cause to reduce of speed of the phone, or worse, shutdown which will only lead to reformat to have it back again which will delete all phone memory files including ur contacts.. :)
