TINY, 09 Mar 2010can i format this phone's (on board memory) trough nokia pc... moreit has a little problem about phone memory...when we apply themes its memory getting decreasing down....
but y dont have to worry abt.. bCOz i ws facing the same problem..
u just use the oxycube software..
it shows all the hidden things in phone memory and memory card..
just connect to ur phone to pc and use ths software ..
then go to hidden folder in phone memory..
there u find the folder named as themesactive ..
open it .. there u see the themes u applied to your phone.. delete them and u will get ur 20 mb of phone memory back..
bt remember dont delete anything else... it will be harmful to ur mobile..

Why has no one in this forum helped me with a good sony ericsson? Also... Is it true that updating the firmware of 5130 (or any other phone) can improve its battery lifetime???

More the mah more the battery life. Since you mentioned once that you don't use your mobile much for calling then why don't you switch 5130 to flight mode during music playback. In this mode this mobile can do continuous music playback for 18-20 hours. One of my friends experimented to find this. Its true.

Guys i just needed to add that i love to travel sometimes and since im a music lover, i cant charge it everyday, for example when i go to the US from Bolivia. OK so this is the deal breaker how is the 5130 battery lifetime compared to my nokia 6300. Is it going to be the same? or better?

Its not working from 6.65 onwards.
*Screenesaver, Power saver & Sleep mode disappeared from my phone.
Not there from 7.91 onwards.. power saver clock is still shown automatically.
*Now theres a new stupid option in my main menu called "life tools".
Useless.... but harmless.. so dont bother abt it.
*Mine is blue version. After updating previous 'Galaxy blue' theme becomes 'Galaxy red'.
Maybe they flashed your set with a red 5130's firmware... tell them to reinstall it blue one.

I regularly use this mobile for about 3 hours of net(in mobile), 1.5 hours of music and that too playing any java games or surfing the net. Still only 1 battery bar decreases, but after that the battery deteriorates very quickly. Thus the phone lasts the whole day no matter how much you use its multimedia abilities. I love this phone and unlike Leo i don't give a damn about its battery life. I charge it every day and its not a pain for me at all.

all round great phone,excellent music quality,battery life good,downloadable games galore!!needs to be shipped with a bigger mem card though 1gb not enough...

You better encrypt the videos with softwares available on various sites. It won't play those files but
Know it'll still show the file names in videos on music player. So better change the filenames to pretty decent ones. ;-)

Leo, 08 Mar 2010OK i think ill buy a sony ericsson walkman since they have ... moreWell what I heard is those new cheap walkmans are actually rechristened sagem models(I'm not sure abt it... just something i read from some forums).
I have done a some tests on my phone.
Max continuous music playback through earphones that i got was around 14.5 hrs + 1 hrs gaming(1 hr of gaming is equal to nearly 5 hrs of music playback).
My phone lasts nearly 1.5 days with 1.5hrs of music through headphone + atleast 150 sms sent and received each.
The bottom line is you will have to charge it daily if you are gonna use it a lot for music and texting.
BTW all walkmans under your range come with battery that has arnd 800 mAh capacity. Another one W580i(out of your budget) comes with a 930 mAh battery but its battery life is less than 5130(maybe because it has a good 2" 320X240 res screen like 5130).

OK i think ill buy a sony ericsson walkman since they have a VEEEEEERY nice battery life and theyre good for music although my friends say that they get ruined very fast, Which ones do u guys recommend? Remember i need a cheap music phone with long-lasting battery

Hi guys, my phone was giving problem while i was listening music. So, i took it to Nokia care & update my phone software from V5.80 to V7.95.
Here's some problems after updating_
*Now my next & back XM button's light isn't working.
*Screenesaver, Power saver & Sleep mode disappeared from my phone.
*Now theres a new stupid option in my main menu called "life tools".
*Mine is blue version. After updating previous 'Galaxy blue' theme becomes 'Galaxy red'.
I took it again to nokia & they said thats all for new version.
Anybody help me - how can I get rid of these problems???

how many hrs do u listen to music? since its an xpress music ill use it most of the time for music
