Bunny, 21 Feb 2010I am owing this phone , i have a query on its video format ... moreA free advice for all. Never convert videos using pc suite. Its the worst converter of all. The videos get unstable and they run in slow motion. Its better to use all video converter, media coder or super converter. They have many options. And they can convert videos in highest of qualities without making them run slow in the mobile. My personal favorite is Media Coder. Its totally free with no restrictions for video conversion. But you can't say t... moreThe memory card gets infected by a Windows virus when you plug the phone in but that virus won't affect in any way a S40 device, it will only run on a Windows OS (A virus is just a program and S40 devices only run J2ME (Java) programs).

I am owing this phone , i have a query on its video format .will be very helpful , video is not playing smoothly .it hangs a lot periodically while i convert it to .mp4 format
plz tell me the following things that at which rate will i consider while conversion:-
1. Which MP4 format MPEG MP4 OR AVC H264 MP4?
2. how much frames/sec for audio?
3. how much bit rate(Kbits/sec) for audio?
4. Codec -xvid or any other?
5. how much frames/sec for video?
6. how much bit rate(Kbits/sec) for video?
and if any other setting,pls describe it too..Iam using Total video convertor.Even at the format which PC suites converts , the video not works properly .So will be very thankful for a suitable reply.Thanks and regards

I think it’s a firmware glitch, all you gotta do is get a phone browser like OxyCube (the one I use) and browse the phone memory (C:) then navigate through the directory Hiddenfolder then Themeactive (C:\predefhiddenfolder\predefthemeactive) and you’ll find all of the themes you’ve applied since you last updated your phone, delete'em all (it’s only a cache of the theme and here lays the problem once you change the theme the cache stays) and here you go, your problem is fixed!!

shawn, 20 Feb 2010ahh okay tnks bro...but is it true that the phone internal ... moreHmm... shrinking memory can be a result of virus activity, Files transferred thru BT, or cause of system files(may be saved in internal memory) of programs you have installed.
As far as I know, 5130 doesn't have a shrinking memory issue. Even though Nokia says you get 30MB internal memory, usable internal memory is 26-27MB and the rest is taken up by OS/firmware.
I have been using this phone for nearly an year now and haven't faced any major/unrepairable problems at all.
I have faced restart problem once but, that was a result of a corrupt media file that I had transferred. The issue was fixed as soon as deleted that file.
BTW... downgrading to a simple java phone like 5130 after using N81/N80 may be a bit boring as there is a huge performance and features gap between the two. Maybe you shd just go for 5230XM.
