Yes i am using ipod earphone and not satisfied with it coz i experience low sound with low bass in noisy environment, moreover yesterday i experienced a low priced cheap samsung E250 and listened to the musics of it using samsung handsfree comes with it and experienced awesome sound quality; rich sound with high bass..totally disappointed when i compared it with my 5130 XpressMusic...HOW come a very cheap samsung gives that superior audio quality through its own earphone???? I want to love my 5130 by experiencing RICH AUDIO QUALITY...at least should beat those low priced samsung handhelds :(

I think nokia needs 2 improve da build quality of this phone.Its absolutly rubbish.

Nokia 5230 express music is about average..
But the best thing is its price..
It had aal The Application that Costly phone had.

I think it’s a firmware glitch, all you gotta do is get a phone browser like OxyCube (the one I use) or MobiMB and browse the phone memory (C:) then go to the folder Hiddenfolder then Themeactive (C:\predefhiddenfolder\predefthemeactive) and you’ll find all of the themes you’ve applied since you last updated your phone delete'em all (it’s only a cache of the theme and here lays the problem once you change the theme the cache stays) and here you go, your problem is fixed!!

In terms of outlook it is great on its comparable price. The performance is also quite okay.

Seriously. I wont recommend this phone to my enemy. When i first say it, its features were too good to be true. I have about five friends using it and they complain about different faults. From the screen flickering to poor battery. The phone is not as strong as the other nokia models i have known. Dont know if its all xpress music phones that are nt durable.

Anonymous, 13 Jan 2010Dude this is not an N-series set to play videos with bitrat... moreYes but the reason what i am mentioning is that the processor of 5130 will support video bitrate of 800kbps and above, but the RAM is extremely less by which it is not able to load much video data while playback, even though the memory card access rate is 1.2mbps.. That is the major drawback..
Anyway thanx for the bitrate info, i will try that and get back to you.. My concern is that either the video or the audio clarity will decrease.. :(

I am using this phone last 5 Month. I am phasing hanging problem in some time. I enquired some of my friends who are using the same phone, all are phasing the same problem. So I think it is problem with the mobile.
Apart from that prize and features are good.

i bought this fone on 13 Jan, 10. Nice fone. Its was worth 5250 including i replaced 1gb memory card with a 2gb memory card.

kudos, 10 Jan 2010What about iPod earphone? i use it and still experience low... moreHello!i haven't tried the ipod earbuds yet but I'm using Creative Labs EP-630, Sennheiser CX-300 II and AKG K324P in- ear monitors on my 5130 xpm.They do block outside noise and produce excellent audio quality.

As I have found out from from cousin, in addition to the bit rate, the format also plays a part. Use mp4 or 3gp format encoded with mpeg4 or xvid codec. Do not use h.264. Though it is supported, playback can be a pain as h.264 requires greater processing than the typical mp4 codecs.
