i bought thz mobile a couple of days ago and its a good mobile. its battery only works for three days smoothly but i charge it every 2 days. its a good set mainly it feels like an expensive one. easy to use, has everything in the box, except for the installation disk. Got in blue colour.

Hi guyz.... I am planning to buy this handset.... my primary requirement is good internet/email speed and good battery back-up. Plz suggest if i shld go in for Nokia 5130??.... thanks!!

This Set is good but in its looks by firmware its an trash i used it and it continously having prblm like msgs flashed up cannot play music direct from the media player and radio no games and other apllicatios which r defualt in this mobile.i update it nt once bt twice on instaling latest frimware it work good bt after 2 or 3 days it restartd it self and again same prblm i recomend u nt buy this phone!

i bought a fake nokia ad-54 for a price of 350rs for ma 5130 coz i had d original earphones of n-73 and they sound superb...so thought just an adapter is enuf n ended up buyin a local one...but sometimes ma phne hangs wen i use it...is it the problem with its originality o 5130 doesn't support anyadapters itself???plz reply

guys am in a weird situation wer in contents of a folder get invisible without me doin anythin...the folder size becomes 0.0 KB but the memory isn't freed...i mean from ma 2gb card if a 200mb folder looses its contents still the available mem wont increase...is it any virus prob o somethin wrong with ma firmware..al this shit happ after i downloaded many s/w n transferred it into ma phone...randomly a folder loses its contents...recently lost a folder containin memorable images n i din have a back of it in ma pc :(....ma firmware is 6.93 dated 20/5/09...shall i 4mat ma mem card ???

my first problem is that when i lsn and send my song to sum 1 it gets hanked and switches off by its own and ons by its own
my second problem is that my usb broke in first time when i put sont and nw i cannot repair it so plz tell me if sum 1 can repair in free

If you really want the best phone when it comes to Nokia xpress music and affordable price, go for 5130. Everything about the phone's good except the video quality. The still image quality is just too good.

I've only had this phone for 3 days (bought it on Dec. 17 2009) but the battery life is disappointing. Listening to less than one hour of music and texting less than 20 text messages brings battery power down to roughly 12 hours only (this is when screensaver, vibra-mode and music lights and keytone sound are turned ON but no phone calls done...yet).
Disabling (i.e. turning OFF) the screensaver, vibra-mode, music lights and keytone sound conserves battery power and makes it lasts for a dismal 16-18 hours of battery life only when listening to music for an hour, texting around 20 text messages (NO phonecalls yet)... If you make a phone call for a couple of minutes (around 3-5 minutes) the battery power lasts for 12 hours or less.
My current firmware is ver. 6.94 (confirmed by pressing *"0000") and type "5130c-2". Updating through Nokia website says my phone version is updated than what is currently in their website (version 6.65 only). This is even more disappointing, Nokia is supposed to have at least the latest firmware on their site...it turns out my 5130 is more up-to-date. I mean, if we can't find an updated firmware version in Nokia website, where else can we find one?
As for the other features, I think the 5130 is okay. Not the fastest processor like those found in the E-series but for the Nokia 5130's price tag, the feature set is a plus-point.
All that's lacking is a good firmware and a good internet "browser" for the 5130.
I'm still keeping this phone but I ended up buying an extra BL-5C battery because the battery power runs out even before I finish my work in the office @ 5pm. By the time I go home, I can no longer use the phone because the battery power had been drained up...with minimal use :(
Over-all: A well-featured, budget, music-oriented phone that has a good potential to be a popular model but right now, its firmware, battery-life and built-in browser version is becoming a hindrance towards achieving favorable customer experience and reviews.
