komal, 16 Sep 2009i purchase it 4 months ago.its a nice mobile.sound quality ... moreI figure the time on your message is different to the actual time on your phone, if this is the case the problem has to do with your Time Zone. To resolve go to Date & Time settings, under time zone adjust by the hours that you are from the GMT. e.g. I am in South Africa so I set it to GMT +2, if you are in India I figure this would be GMT +5.5 or GMT +5:30. This should solve your problem

i purchase it 4 months ago.its a nice mobile.sound quality is good.camera is awesome.battery is also good.but i have 1 problem.message timings are not right.i do not know how to correct them.if somebody know how to correct message timings please tell me.

For my su... moreI am confident that the genuine Nokia 5130 has a back-up battery power for 2-3 days and this period is with regard to normal use only. I think 3 days is a sufficient back up time even if you frequently play music on the 5130. However, I must warn you that there are many Nokia 5130 clones creeping in from China & hitting the streets. People who some how got a clone 5130 would not work the way original is supposed to do the needful.There are reported cases where the outer casing is original and the inner battery is a fake from China, still you would face problems. The Fake Nokia Chinese battery will not last more than 10 hours. It would be better for you to take your set to authorized Nokia dealer and get the battery thoroughly scrutinized and lodge a claim if required or get your set replaced with a new one subject to the terms and condition of the warranty certificate. Given the above you would appreciate that the phone in question is not supposed to have battery timing issues.

Guyz how can you say that the quality of 5130 express music is poor? I am planning to buy this one but when I read all tose opinion of yours I got to think about it, wether i go for it or not? please help me..can u suggest some units that is affordable? thank you.

its a nice mobile. i m very happy with it. but it's music control keys are more large at least for me. i use it as a modem on my pc. really it nice.

Battery life is alway more than 3 days (i can use it for a day after first battery low warning) and i have never had yours errors. I think u should update firmware to 6.65. May be, all your problems will be solved.

For my su... morethere is no proof that 8hrs initial charging will give better backup...just type initial charging of Li-ion battery on google and you will understand. Li-ions dont require an initial charging and doing it wont help you one bit.

Screen with 320X240 resolution and above will give below average backup. You want a phn with a high resolution screen you have to live with the low battery backup.

To drew, maybe you got yourself the fake ones from china thats why you got that, the original one's work perfectly fine, the phone can handle 16gb, good buy from a handset thats not that expensive

Last week i bought my new Nokia 5130 Xpressmusic. For my sudden usage i didnt let it charge for 8 hours initially. Now iam running out of charge in a day with or without using the loudspeaker to play!!! The charging of battery for 8 hours was advised by my roommates only when it started to run out completely....will it be sufficient to charge after a couple of usage??? Please help me...Iam forced to charge the battery everyday...its creating so much problem for me who always want to play the music....Please note that i'm not playing the music now....

People cry foul about battery life, is it lower than claimed? One thing to note is that texting or browsing while playing music will consume much power, just like your house when you use stove, heater, electric jug, TV, DVD, play station at same time. But the biggest consumer of battery life is keyboard input on any phone type. I am going to buy this phone, I have compared with Samsung star but I don’t trust it can match delivery of this Nokia.

Anonymous, 13 Sep 2009hows the camera? the pics uploaded in gsmarena review are o... moreNokia 5130 is a very basic / elementary phone, with cheap plastic build and clunky key pad but it scores well in music department however, the so-called 2 MP camera of 5130 is sheer nonsense and poor. 90% users are utterly disappointed with camera of 5130 and they are correct. If are looking for a good camera phone there are other nokia models which offer better on board camera. The latter Nokia 6700 should be a better choice for you in mid range phone in terms of looks, camera, video recording and specs. By paying a bit more you can get better hand sets than 5130. Nokia 5130 has a decent sound output but it is still in mono. A basic music phone should offer at least a good stereo sound spectrum. Once again if you solely looking for good entry/mid-range camera phone avoid 5130 as there are far better options available in the cell phone market. Rest is up to you to judge.
