agreed the older XMs were not really as good as walkmans...but things are a little different now.
One thing that walkmans have over XM is a good quality headphone, nokia needs to work on that.

hehehe...lol there is no comparision between walkman series in xm series. walkman series are far more supirior. only those guyz who havnt listen to se w series can compare these two...get a life buddies n first listen to w series n then compare.

my friend got this phone and it's superb! i never thought of having goodspecs at low price.. sound quality was the best, design is also good (specially gray version), nice build. and overall very good cheap phone.. all you need to do is buy a pair of headset because the one in the package sounds bad.. not for regular usage.

All SE walkmans other than a few produce crappy sounds with unnatural bass and no quality....If that is what you call music then, you wont like 5130...in fact you wont even like SE's walkman flagship W995...coz it produces sound nearly as identical as 5130.
so is SE's sound quality on a degradation path according to you?

Its Name Says Music Express but Cant Be Compared With A Walkman series of SE.All Walkman Series Are Much More Preferable Than Nokia MusicXpress editions.Sounds Quality Differs In Hell & Heaven.

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I'm really grateful. Lastly what is the latest indian price of this phone? Moreover do you think there is any other phone worth considering in this range. I have previously used SE w220i and Motorola a810. Music is my prority but the a810 fell short of satisfying me.

stlolth, 12 Aug 2009The biggest downside to this phone is it's slow data transf... morethis is not a pendrive bro...memory cards dont have fast data transfer like pendrives...you can use a card reader and im sure the speeds wont increase.
